Pros +
- Hotel of character, originally a convent, 2 minute walk from the town's central square with large choice of bars and restaurants. Large, comfortable room. Breakfast on site with 24 hours notice. Restaurant on site but check opening hours for date of stay. May need to reserve for dinner. Shaded garden for breakfast and dinner in the summer. Free parking right opposite except on Thursday evenings. Need to register vehicle at machine on street.
- A very convenient location close to free parking and the center town square. The hotel staff are very friendly and responsive, the rooms clean and quiet, and while we didn't use the restaurant we have heard it is very good.
- We didn’t want breakfast.
Cons -
- Bathroom outdated. Could do with wall-fixed shower and new bath. Very narrow streets and one-way systems around hotel. GPS helpful if arriving in own car.
- No staff on duty when arriving. Code to gain entry and you find your room key on reception that’s not manned. Find your own bedroom.
- No tea kettle in the room.

Large room, sweet French decor, lovely restaurant and breakfast, large and easy to cling staircase, very clean, even a tub, and perfect location near the town square in Limoux.
No tea kettle in the room.
The Hotel was DESERTED after 6.00 - the lights were off and it was the WEIRDEST feeling of being alone in a strange place with NO STAFF. Definitely a minus 5 for irresponsibility
The decoration was vile and random, unfinished and matched the weird feeling in the entire 'hotel' We had breakfast (only one boiled egg available as chef was off) in the dark until the young girl turned the lights on. WEIRD - WEIRD - WEIRD!!
Nice big room, quiet and good breakfast.
No kettle in the room and expensive restaurant.
Breakfast reasonable...excellent jamsOld "grand hotel" ambience
no staff upon arrival or during the rest of the day.tiny bath towelsrestauarant shut
Wonderful old building with some character features (Grand Staircase with Stained Glass Window). Our room was nice clean and comfortable with aircon (essential in summer). As a whole the hotel was quiet and restful. Although not a problem for us there is no elevator so those with limited mobility should keep this in mind.Inhouse restaurant provided a very pleasant dining experience.Very easy walk to the main square surrounded by many bars, restaurants and a few shops. Main shopping streets run off the square. Free Parking is readily available 200m away under shady trees.
Need to be down early for breakfast... we were on a leisurely holiday and by 9a.m. there really wasnt much left.
Excellent example of French classic grand tradition from the era of high ceiling ornate architecture.
A bit dated or neglected paint and tile maintenance.
Location good, rooms comfortable.£
Hotel closed when we arrived at 17:00 Finally let in after some wait. The Restaurant which was one of reasons for the stay was closed. Breakfast very disappointing, no milk or orange juice and restaurant totally unsupervised.
Room size, location, bathroom, towels ,
No staff on Sunday Fridge not cold, no coffee pods,
Greta Hotel with great staff. Very good restaurant. Big rooms and great bedding. Location right in the center of Limoux
Good Aircon, comfortable beds
No toilet paper. Had to go and buy some!!
I stayed 2 nights for a wedding in the area. The hotel is 3 min walk from the main square and the river, and 1 min from a Carrefour Express if you need it. The hotel is charming and very clean, the staff are friendly and the Manager even offered me a bottle of water to take to my room when I asked him to fill up my water bottle. I would go back for sure!
The shower didn't have a wall-mounted holder so I had to hold the shower in my hand to wash my hair. The curtains also didn't close properly so had to use my hair clip, and use the table to wedge it to the wall to keep the light out. When I checked out on Sunday, there was not a single soul around, not a problem for me but if you need help, not sure if anyone is there!
The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless!
I could not open the outer shutters during the night so it was very dark in the morning. (*Note: The shutters MUST be closed in the day because of the extreme heat! 40C)
Great Hotel with a very good restaurant. The staff is great and the rooms are spotless. Breakfast is perfect
The location was excellent
Barely any toilet paper in the room. 1st roll was almost out. Had to use a 2nd which appeared roach eaten. Sleep was difficult, at best. Many loud noises throughout the night.
Friendly staff, location, lots of space in room
Very helpful staff. Good restuarent onsite. Characterful old bulilding.
Check in process was complicated. To be fair I did just book before arriving, but I feel it could have been smoother. I also don't speak good French, which made it harder.
The breakfast was excellent, however it had to be booked by messages, as the hotel was completely un-manned when we arrived, no-one on reception, or elsewhere!
The hotel was completely un-manned when we arrived, no-one on reception, or elsewhere! No lights on either! TBH we found that a bit shoddy, considering the cost!
