Pros +
- Beautiful rooms, amazing village, nice and clean. Amazing cleaning lady. Excellent animators. Reception helped in every way. Beach was great and clean. Drinks and alcoholic drinks tasted good! Dog special place. Very good sweet food :).
- I like the houses and the beach and the beer(PERONI).
- The room was spacious and nicely furnished. The beach is good, with fine sand and clean water. There are shallow areas where you can play around with kids.
Cons -
- Expected Italian pasta, very dry without taste. Tables for the dinning were a mess always missing glasses or something else. 3 buses of older people arrived in the mid of our journey, since than it was impossible to find a table for dining. Very rood. We cleaned a table by ourselves and an old lady came even though we had food on the table and bags on the chair. Both a la carte restaurants were not our taste, very bad :(, however beautiful place.
- Everything was a disaster. No activities at all.Main clients are OLD PEOPLE. So it s an Elderly Resort.Reataurant...hahah...it s a dining room like at school. Not nice at all.Food...speechless...DISASTER!!! Not good at all. Very bad taste everything. I ate all 5-6 days only pizza. Juices were so processed that u could not drink them. Ypu cannot find an original Coke at the resort, they are giving you water with sugar...kinda like in MC or KFC...Fruits and Veggies were not fresh. They are selling just good pictures with the resort but not even half of it it s true.I would not recommend to anyone under 40yo to go there, you will be so dissapointed and u ll want to leave as soon as possible.
- This is probably the worst All-inclusive resort I've been to. I have visited many resorts, from the Maldives to Greece to the Caribbean, and I have never seen such bad accommodation. There are so many bad things that I should make a list:1. You must pay for a Smart Card and Club card upon arrival. For a week's stay, that was more than 110EUR. One is for credit to pay for things around the resort and they will return the 10EUR credit to you at the end of the stay. The other one is for activities; even if you don't want to participate in any, you must still pay for it. ( approx 100 EUR )2. Everything is in Italian only - kids show, evening show, activities - good luck with understanding a single word if you don't know Italian. Even staff can't understand a word in English, I've tried to ask several times a question and they had to wait for another guy to come from somewhere to understand me or use their photo translators so we can communicate.3. You have to pay a rent for beach towels! Wait, what? Yes, you have to pay 7EUR per towel and 10EUR deposit for each towel ( the deposit is given back to you when you leave ). IF you want those towels washed or replaced during your stay- it is possible for another 7EUR, they just rent you new ones. Never seen this at any resort. When charging around 400EUR per night you can just give people beach towels and replace them every 2 or 3 days ( not daily ).4. The food was terrible—tasteless, lacking creativity and variety. I have never seen worse pizza or pasta in Italy. Pizza was like a 3 cm piece of bread with some tomatoes on it. There were no salads, not even one—just tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. to make your own. It looked like they were using the lowest food quality on the market, which would probably make you want to eat out or in their a la carte restaurants.5. The snack between the meals - was several biscuits, several slices of watermelon and the pizza, yes the same bad pizza.

The stay at Serenas Badesi was an incredible experience that I will definitely repeat. Everything was perfect, the amazing beach in a quiet place, all the infrastructures of the resort were impeccable, and the sympathy of all the personnel. Importantly, the food was really good, every day was different and they made an effort to show you typical plates from Sardengna. I hope to come back very soon!
Everything was perfect!
The staff was extremely friendly and nice. They had nice activities for kids. The resort overall was clean and pleasant. The beach was a bit far from the resort, though if you dont mind the distance it was a pleasant walk.
The rooms were not very well equipped. The bathrooms did not ave soap or shampoos, not what you would expect from 4* establishment. The restaurant was also not the best quality or equipment. While the food was excellent, the tables, chairs, plates etc. were not up to 4* standard. The beach was nice, sand soft but sea was full of algae in August, not sure if this changes depending on month. Overall the price per night was too expensive for the value we feel we got.
Hotel feels relatively fresh after renovation but then the clean service of your bed sheets is only 2x a week in your room and overall pretty horrible cleaning (see pictures)- Nice pool (but not cleaned from cups etc)- Nice entertainment team (but most dont speak English)- And the sports area’s which are nice but apparently its no all-inclusive as when u arrive they charge you some extra money to use it - no choice / hidden charge
if you come to Sardinia for a nice view, nice beach and nice food and clean towels every day - this is NOT itOk you can see in advance that the beach is quite far but that means also that you can not enjoy any beach view lunches or dinners with good Ita lian food (unless you like hamburgers and can wait to actually take a chance to book the 15 plastic tables they have for this purpose which they serve only from 8 oclock all at the same time, while the number of people in the hotel is massive (so pretty impossible)- The beach is dirty with algae and so is the water- Towels are there to hire only for a week!!! (And to be paid for, hidden charges) You dont get fresh ones unless you booked directly with some premium payment!!! so booked for 2 weeks? Get ready to use same dirty towels every day. I had to threaten to get my money back before they agreed to give us fresh ones- The beachbeds are super far to walk. Front row is 80% empty as they want extra payment for it but can only take payment at reception (which 25 min walk back and forth in the heat)- The restaurant has no view, has plastic windows (no joke) and is disgusting.Their dishwasher does not work properly so half the plates and cups still have food remainings there. Really bad- Tables are not cleaned after usage (and will not be cleaned even if you ask)- 2/3 of the Area is dark and noisy- If you want tea - thats a problem. Well you can get hot water from the machine but tea bags are only available at breakfast, so each lunch and dinner I have to find a staff member (as there are NO WAITERS) that actually speaks English and then to convince to get a teabag (which is also a problem as they don't ask which flavour )- their “fancy” restaurant feels the same. They get same food but they just need to wait longe. However they do get wine in a glass. Plastic paper name board of the restaurant should say enough- If you want wine, you can use a dispenser and do it in a waterglass!!!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The area is excellent and very well maintained! What we particularly liked: 1) The hotel is very well located: from our house it was 5-7 min walk to the beach. And the area is beautifully arranged, the houses are in a perfect harmony with nature. It feels very cozy and comfortable. 2) Clean and well maintained private beach with soft sand and very good entry to the sea. On the beach you get umbrella and sun beds assigned for the whole stay. 3) Good drinks at the beach and at the bar close to the pool all day all inclusive with cookies breaks, fruits and “happy hour snacks”. A very good coffee in beach and pool bars with excellent choice of options. 4) Lots of activities - Yoga, Padle, Tennis, group trainings, with very good and lovely staff and animation team. 5) You can bring your dog, if she/he is small and below 10kg weight. We had ours with us, and everyone was very kind to her. Get ready to pay extra 22€ for her per night. 6) Food was more than perfect for our taste. We had everything we needed for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Booked couple of times the beach restaurant - very good personnel and good quality food (although very basic). Exceptionally beautiful sunsets there.
1) We booked on Booking and paid full price without possibility to cancel, when we came we were charged extra 8€ per person for each night for the use of hotel facilities, 22€ for a dog per day, then also city tax, so we ended up paying 444€ more for 7 nights for 4 people, compared to already pretty substantial price we paid on the booking. This extra cost was not foreseen, and unfortunately was disappointing as the price at the end became quite high for a week of stay. 2) Beach towels are not free, you need to pay daily rent for each towel, which ends up a high cost at the end of stay. 3) Bed sheets were not changed during our whole stay (7 nights), towels for bathroom were very limited. 4) For all extra activities you need to have a lot of cash to rent equipment. Example: rackets for padle for 4 people will cost you 120€ (given back after you return). 5) Was not a big deal for us, but for the beach for 4 people we were given only 1 umbrella and only 2 sun beds, which was clearly not enough. 6) One real coffee machine for breakfast is really not enough - people are queuing for about 15 min to get a cup of coffee in the morning. During our stay the coffee machine broke several times, which was repaired fast, but still - no coffee for breakfast. The other machines do soluble coffee, which is terrible. 7) Entrance to SPA area is paid and not included in the hotel price.
All
The food was not well thought out, there were a lot of flour products, and fruits were rarely of good quality. Mostly unripe. Sea food always has an unpleasant odor. Fish is rare. In general, if you don’t eat sweet starchy foods and don’t like meat. That is, there is nothing.
Der Weg nach dem Strand
The Food was just edible. You expect a est better food in Italy. The cleaning was very superficial and not well done. The air conditioning failed several timers same as the internet in the room. The beach is average, but the service make it worst (none)
The food was amasing, very tasty. Confortable and clean rooms, excelent service. Lot of activities, both for kids and adults.
Italian is a VERY dominant language here. The stuff speaks english but your kid will really struggle to find friends to play with with only english.
Great food: breakfast, lunch, dinner and tapas! Drinks at the bar were good as well. The animation team really tried their best during the evening entertainment (all in Italian, but sometimes also English - thank you!). Great swimming pool and lovely beach.
The level of English of all staff was not that great - you would expect more from a 4 star hotel. Activities need to be planned via an App, which is just a website which most of the time doesn't work or shows no activities. Then you need to go back to the team which checks again, and then you can still go to the activity or they decided to cancel the activity for that day: why use an App then which doesn't work? Towel rental: you need to pay to rent towels?? (not just a desposit - also a rental fee)
New, clean property. Close to a nice beach
Food variety was good but a bit limited for vegetarians
This was my second time going there and hopefully not the last. Rooms are clean, new facilities, everything is well maintained.
Réception was inexperienced, English is still a struggle :) How and Where had to be found out on our own. It’s a big facility, better orientation procedure must be implemented. All activities must be booked via an app, annoying to say the least. And last thing to improve, mattresses !! Rock hard! Very uncomfortable !
Brand new, elegant and very stylish buildings. My rooms was small but very cosy and pretty with spacious and very smart bathroom. The resort featues beautiful, lush green grounds with very well kept vegetation, which together with the architecture give you the impression you’re in there middle of a romantic sardinian village. There’s a lovely wooden pathway to the beach, featuring coarse sand but still quite nice. Really liked how there was plenty of sunbeds at the pools and actually pre assigned sunbeds on the beach, so the morning towel games were not ever a thing.
Sadly the rules and restrictions are in the way of a truly enjoyable holidays. Swimming caps are obligatory in outdoor pool. Everything needs to be prebooked via a special website, otherwise you just can’t join an activity spontaneously. Ergo you spend your holiday with your phone trying to plan ahead, but you can’t book more than two days in advance. A few days into our stay were told off at main restaurant for trying to sit at the terrace… turns out that one has to be reserved too (even though the place was half empty anyway). Best part though, the reception told us they didn’t know how, as it was a new process, but we were apparently supposed to know and book BEFORE arriving. As for restaurants, the main one offers tasty and good selection of food, but there are two other, allegedly better ones, that need to be, yes, booked, however only one time slot is awailable and seats are limited. Honestly though, don’t bother, the food is not amazing and the service is chaotic to say the least…Hotel mostly caters to Italian guests, every activity and animation is in Italian and some staff barely spoke any language (we speak 3 languages, including English and French). We were able to communicate to some extent but felt some of the staff were actually terrified when they had to interact with us. Finally, if you’re a fan of relaxed evenings, this is not your spot. The hotel offers an evening entertainment program, with the noise unfortunately carrying around the entire resort. We were a good 200m from the amphitheater and could hear it all loud and clear. The entertainment program went until midnight every day…There’s certainly potential in the resort, as the sports facilities and kids mini clubs are impressive, but the management should look into how better organise themselves without actually making it a responsibility of their guests. Finally yes, we were also charged with the 6eur per person per day “club card” fee, which I found outrageous, not because
Private and cosy houses (we stayed at block 25, which is intended for families) and found it the best area out of the entire hotel, even wins over the "Prestige area". Absolutely beautiful beach at the site which was a saveor of our entire experience. Good hotel location within 30min drive to nearest beaches and towns such as Castelsardo and Isola Rossa, and about 2H drive to Alghero and Emerald Coast.
Even though the hotel truly is a "Charming Resort", the entire experience was disappointing. The STAFF was not pleasant and sometimes rude to other guests as we witnessed several conflicts where management of the hotel was just being silly and not helpful. It was a daily norm to hear the staff complaining to the guests about poor management and how tired they are (first I thought it was typical Southern to complain about work but after a few conversations it was clear that something is fishy). One of the staff members even publicly resigned during his shift. There were issues with TABLES on a daily basis and guests had to fight to be seated together or allowed a free table on the terrace. Another frustration was the obligatory to book everything with the app, every day (for bigger groups or outside terrace booking is a must, otherwise you will be asking for trouble with the staff). So we just gave up on the app and were taking free tables whatever was available. First time in a lifetime, the buffet was much better option than restaurant, would not recommend to bother about restaurant experience. BREAKFAST has very limited options and is the same every day, a lot of industrial and mostly sweet food (very typical for Italy), might be disappointing. POOLS AND KIDS AREAS had very limited opening times, f.e kids play pool was only opened 2 hours a day and was closing around 18-ish, leaving kids without any entertainment for a good hour or two before dinner. Pool has an obligatory of a covered hair, something that you would never expect in a 4-star hotel. Overall, majority of the staff is unpleasant (however, cleaning ladies deserve a golden star for being the nicest of them all), dirty dishes and poor organisation but nice rooms and beautiful beach. Looking for a relatively cheap family holiday in Sardiania and willing to seriously compromise on service? This option is for you. Looking for a better experience and willing to pay more? Definitely look elsewhere.
good buffet
the staff, restaurants and level of care
Lovely beach.Good food even at the buffet. Nice rooms with lovely cleaning staff.
There were SO MANY RULES. You had assigned seats at the beach even though there were SO MANY empty and some of us had to walk FAR to get to our "assigned seat" on vacation. And you had to pay extra for things they REQUIRE, like you had to buy swim caps to go in the pool. You had to rent towels (beyond a deposit). And to get a proper espresso you had to pay extra. Every time you turn around, you had to pay for something. In fact, the rules and the fees became a running joke on our holiday. Breakfast Sucked. Good massage at the spa....but the entire spa was UNUSED because it required ANOTHER FEE to use the "spa" which was really only another pool and a whirlpool nothing fancy which explains why it was always empty Many things seemed very disorganized except they were VERY organized when more fees were involved. For those that arrive late in the evening....beware there are Coyotes that are out. We saw one when we parked our car. A resort of this price, you would like they may have a complimentary golf cart shuttle to help people from the parking lot to the lobby (especially in the evening).
new hotel clean
food can be improved and has to be more organized
What I liked the most were the entertainment, kindness, and joy of the employees and the quality of the shows. Regarding the resort, I enjoyed the environment because it allowed us to be in contact with nature. The room's size is standard, but those small gardens and the green of the plants add a lovely touch.
I think that the restaurants could have been offered better service.
All brand new facility, well thought through, all comforts are there. Restaurant is well looked after, multiple choices available. Rooms are clean, fridge, tea kettle, espresso machine. Friendly staff, animation for children, multiple activities for everyone.
Tennis courts and football fields aren’t usable between 11:00 and 17:00, no shade and sun is brutal. Restaurant staff struggle with English, not easy to ask about the food. And few of them kinda rude about it:)
