Hotel Hinterland

Wonderful breakfast.

Stark cold room. No decor or comfort. There was an event going on when we arrived so there was no place other than our room and no dining nearby.

Lovely exterior in a great location, with a nice restaurant (that was only open for breakfast - dinner was at a sister hotel that they would bus you to). Bathroom was decent in the room

The room was very basic. But it did the job. The restaurant wasn’t open for evening food and the staff couldn’t be found when it was time to check out and pay

Spacious, friendly staff and a fantastic selection of beers. I’ve also read some negative reviews but they can be safely disregarded (September 2024).

The location was ideal for the occasion. Enough parking space. Attractive value for money!

Lack of atmosphere. The room was basic and could have been cleaner! The breakfast could have been a little more appealing!

The breakfast was excellent.The property location was great with easy access to the motorway to Calais.Thomas was a fantastic host and organised the transport to the parent hotel for dinner.

Amazing building, check in was thorough and helpful, the restaurant was closed so they drove us to their other hotel and combined the bill. Great bar and patio area. Lift to the rooms and spacious rooms with nice views.

The rooms were quite simple with no mirror apart from in the bathroom, the shower had very low pressure.

Exceptionally beautiful place, large comfortable bed large room Great shower with fabulous large bath towels Breakfast was cold buffet but had great selection of pastries & cakes all freshy baked no chef available but meal could be had at sister hotel close by (we didn't try )

Only issue we encountered was gravel drive difficult with touring motorcycles

The hotel had spacious rooms with comfortable beds. There was a nice shower and because the kitchen was closed when we were there, we were given a lift to the sister hotel to eat. The breakfast was delicious with everything fresh esp the pastries and different breads. We were able to keep our cycles safely locked up in the garage overnight.

Our room was right next to the lift which was very noisy and used until late. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel where the drive and car park had noisy gravel and people were talking loudly below our window until the early hours. There was no shower door or curtain so the floor got quickly soaked.

Spacious, clean rooms and comfy beds. Quiet and convenient location not far from ferry port. Excellent buffet breakfast

The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. The dinner was excellent and the location was so peaceful

Breakfast was only at 8am and, we had to leave before that but they packed us a to go bag for the road

All excellent. Especially being taxied to their partner hotel for dinner as no restaurant available at the hinterland

Very friendly staff. We arrived late due to delays on the ferry but it wasn't a problem at all. The breakfast was plenty and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you.

Beautiful property and comfy rooms. Parking was great and they welcomed our Dalmation. The beds are comfortable and the tv I could log in with my Netflix account with no problem. Breakfast was good.

The rooms are sparse but I personally like this style- there was enough to be comfortable.

Hotel very hospitable at request for evening meal after travel. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Hotel very warm and inviting. Family room excellent with all facilities. Breakfast amazing. Lovely country surroundings with ample car parking.

Nothing at all

We’ve stayed here twice now and love it! Staff so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfast, which is included in the price is amazing!

The breakfast was a standard fare, that I would have expected to see at a European Hotel.

The fairy tale look of this imposing hotel with tubs of flowers at the door promised well as did the description on booking.com. We booked a King room with a desk, a patio ,garden views and a private bathroom. However, this room did not exist. Our room was like a waiting room, bleak and bare. There was no desk or patio. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. The advertised restaurant was not open - we were ferried to their sister hotel. We arrived at the hotel rather damp. We asked for an iron but there was no ironing board. Our stay was very disappointing.

Ground floor areas

Bedrooms hot, could not open windows due to mosquitos, bathroom in poor condition, room sparse, arrived and no staff for 20 minutes they were out somewhere - not acceptable as a hotel should be staffed at all times.Breakfast promised at 7.15 - it was late.

Breakfast was great. Loved staying there

Our rooms was above the restaurant. People were drinking and making a noise till late

Great location only an hour from the euro tunnel, really spacious rooms. Fantastic breakfast ?
