Hotel San Trano

The pool and its surrounding is really beautiful. Location of the hotel is good, considering the size of the island, you can be in all popular places within hour or two.Hotel terrace with beautiful view.

Beds in rooms are uncomfortable and eventhough we requested queen bed 3 months earlier, we got 2 connected beds instead.Toilet is all full of lime scale.If you want clean towels more often then every 3 days, you have to pay extra. You don't even get a bottle of water for free.Everything seems a bit dated and lacks of hospitality.

We landed in Alghero at 21:00 local time and we arrived at the hotel at 22:40. Everything was closed, the front door, the back door, everything! We call and after more than 10 minutes of staying in front of the reception door a nervous gentleman came and open the door. He asked for 50 euro cash if we want to get the booked room and he said if we don't pay right away we can stay in the car until morning and check in than. On booking there is not a single word about the 50 euro tax if you want to check in after 10:00 PM. Also some of the rooms don't have AC in a location where during the summer you can expect the temperatures to rise above 35 degrees. So the first night we stayed in a room where the temperature was like in a sauna. The next morning we paid 20 more euro to get a AC room. During our stay the room was never cleaned. The bathroom was dirty as can be seen from the attached images. Also keep in mind that there is no fridge in the room.Another big problem was that they lock the main door of the hotel every night after 10:00 and also during the day, so the guests have to use the back door, which is located near the garbage area.

Very friendly staff. We were warmly welcomed and the room was good. With exceptional view.The staff was open to talk about the region and things to do. The restaurant is good and they serve very nice wine. The tiramisu was great, especially with the homemade limoncello (thanks again!) I don’t understand why some people were dissatisfied, we had a very very pleasant time!

The breakfast was very limited and did not cater well for dietary requirements.We had a late flight and asked to stay by the pool until mid afternoon. The charge for this was 20 euros per person! We declined.

You have to handle the keys every time you want to leave the room. Nobody informed us about this and as we were leaving the hotel the guy at the reception asked with a rude tone "KEY PLEASE"... Which was not sounded very welcoming. Also strict rules about not allowed to eat in the rooms.

Central spot to visit north of Sardegna. Town itself is nice but nothing special. It is about the seroundings.Nice breakfast.

Very nice rooms, good location, close to many beautiful beaches. The hotel staff was very kind and they even lend us a parasol yo tale yo the beach.

Everything was excelent and beyond our expectations

good breaskfast, nice pool, the place is very silent and there are restaurants nearby, the village is cozy and nice, the room space is adequate and the personnel is nice.

the mattress was a bit old, the restaurant is closed, some lights in the corridors do not work. The hotel in general looks like doing the minimum to keep the clients at the price paid but nothing extra.

The location is excellent if your are travelling by car! Perfectly situated to see all the sites nearby. The breakfast was also great, offering a wide range of options. The room was exceptionally clean & the air conditioning was great & quiet enough to leave on at night time. The staff were also very helpful & friendly throughout our stay.

The hotel is very nice, parking inside excellent and the breakfast also really good. The staff really nice, had no issues with a late check in. Also the pool was big and enjoyable!

We liked everything. To improve though, the balcony was really tiny and with 0 views and the pool is badly oriented, very early in the evening the sun stops reaching it and its too cold to be there. But all these are just details, and overall a great experience!

I have never had such a bad experience with the staff, absolutely impolite and inadequate. Truly unprofessional. The staff is trying to educate the guests. Everything is forbidden and you are under control of two people: senior manager and his colleague, who think that they are the owners of this hotel and have established their own banana republic. The staff cares of some clients but not of all clients. You will also receive in this hotel nothing for free, even glasses or ice or spoon. What about other things I have to say that internet doesn’t work in rooms, furniture and other things are not in good condition. I can’t recommend this hotel and I would speak with the owner about the behavior of his team.

Very central in Luogosanto, in a very cute little town. The room had AC and the hotel a nice bar and pool. The front lady was very helpful and spoke multiple languages. The breakfast was also very good.

The mattress and pillows are terrible. We had a lot of trouble sleeping because the mattress is hard as a rock and the pillow (one per person) was very flat (we had the economic double bedroom but still).

The location of the hotel is great, it's on the top of the hill. The receptionist recommended us two good restaurants near the hotel, only a few minutes by foot. We tried out one of the restaurants (Il Girasole :) ) and it was wonderful. The breakfast was plenty, we could choose from various types of food and drink. The morning view from the breakfast terrace was excellent. The area is quite calm, it's a good place to relax.

The worst thing at this hotel was the internet availability. It only worked at the hall. It was very inconvenient to go down to the hall at night to check out some things on the net. It also lacked a fridge (we had an economy room with the view to the garden).

Nice, confortable rooms, pretty basic but enough for a few nights. The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful.

The restaurant was not functioning, only in the morning for breakfast. If you like sweets for breakfast than you'll be happy, otherwise the same every morning.

Was not aware of that I ordered a room without aircondition , the room had a fanbut it got to warm.

The pool was very amazing and the staff was very friendly. Sabina went above and beyond to support us during our stay, giving us great tips of places to visit to avoid the crowds during Italian summer season. She also had a great level of English and that made our stay much easier. Breakfast was also very good and everyone there made their best to provide a great experience. The Hotel also have plenty of space to park.

The Restaurant was unfortunately not working during our stay, and they didn't have any snacks to sell. That wasn't a huge issue, as they told us were to find a supermarket nearby and also pointed us to a very nice pizzeria less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

Amazing breakfast and nice little pool - we had this to ourselves as very quiet when we visited. Recommended Tommy's pizzeria nearby for dinner which was great for a simple dinner. Room was large and comfortable.

Staff were a little stoney-faced but don't let this put you off, they were actually helpful when we needed a dinner recommendation.

breakfast was good with variations of foods, the swimming pool was nice with clear and clean water. The room size was good enough.

WIFI is available only at the reception area, NO WIFI in the room, Air Conditioner is NOT equipped for the "Standard" room!!! We had to pay extra to "upgrade" the room to have an Air conditioner. There is NO Fridge in the room! it's unbelievable for the summer resort island. There's even no nearby supermarket to buy cold water, either! It was hell in the 39 degrees climate. The lighting bulb is dead in the room, dark room and corridor. The location is very far from anywhere, at least 30 min to beaches and port city where there are restaurants.
