Grand Hôtel de la Scala

Loved the pool after cycling from Porto. The modern amenities are exceptionally well crafted throughout the property. Truly a surprise in a quiet little town 50 km from the coast.

That we needed to continue to our next lodging.

Adorable, inflatable large rooms and fantastic warm pool. Our room had an incredible view ! Convenient location for many hikes . The breakfast was wonderful ! The staff helpful and kind

I do not like open showers with no doors or curtains, it looks cool but very inconvenient . Absolutely everything was wonderful ! Many hotels in Europe have the no shower door , I am not a fan is all.

We had stayed in this hotel before it was refurbished and can say this is a massive upgrade. Rooms which were basic now are really comfortable and the addition of a pool really tops it off. Excellent mountain views too.

A small suggestion. Opening the pool in time for a swim before breakfast would be welcome.

Recently refurbished, the hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. The owners are incredibly kind and hospitable. Beautiful property in a beautiful part of Corsica. We will gladly return.

The quality of the amenities

No flexibility of the staff for anything. Arrived at 3:40 pm as the first guests in the hotel and couldn’t have the room before 4:00 as in the rules. Couldn’t open a bottle of wine anywhere in the property even if they don’t serve alcohol.

Very comfy and nice hotel, inside very clean, brand new, nicely decorated. Owners very helpful, gave us many tips to explore the surroundings and restaurants.

Nothing I wouldn’ like. Maybe a small fridge in the room and few more sunshades at pool would make it perfect :-)

Great location to do hikes in the mountains. The hotel is owned and operated by a nice couple. They were really nice hosts. The hotel was renovated recently so everything was brand new. The room was clean, and spacious and had a nice terrace overlooking the mountains.

The breakfast could have more fruits, and the pool has rather strict rules for kids to follow (you cannot take anything in the pool) but that’s OK, these were only minor inconveniences.

The hotel has recently been completely refurbished and the whole place is gorgeous. Having the pool was such a bonus as I had been cycling all day and was able to relax there. The location is stunning and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast was excellent!

Fabulous renovation. Very charming property. Wonderful location for the area. There are some nice dining options in the village.

Not much not to like. A few suggestions. Some more hooks in the bathroom would be useful. It’d be great if he pool was open a bit earlier for a morning swim. 10:30 is a bit late.

Tremendous hotel recently opened after renovation. Run with impeccable taste and proficiency in hospitality business. Rooms and bathroom were absolutely impressive. Bed super comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight. It’s just one of the places you regret staying for one night only.

Everything was perfect

We loved the location close to nature and great hikes, welcoming atmosphere which is created so naturally by the hosts, beautiful interiors both in the room (spacious bathroom, nicely chosen textiles and furnishings) and common spaces (there is a pool and a living room area for playing board games or reading). And last but not the least - there was a very delicious breakfast with some local produce.

All was great! Just a small detail that can be improved in our opinion - some more hooks and a toothbrush cup can be added in the bathroom. Otherwise - all wonderful for us!
