Ghoha Hills Savuti

Pros +

• We had a wonderful welcome at Ghoha Hills. The situation of the Lodge is great, on a hill overlooking Savuti. The game drives were great and had a wonderful guide. The accommodation is very comfortable and all the staff were lovely. We ate very well. Would definitely go back there again.

Cons -

• Very poor service. Would not recommend. 1)We booked a 2-room family suite and by arriving at the lodge they told us that family suite is booked by other people so what they suggest is put 2 separate beds in one room. Complimentary they would give massage for 1 (?!) person. Not even a word about giving a second cottage, which were all empty. The check-in humiliation will not end on that. While having a lunch, not finished our drinks, waiter told us to go to manager now, because manager is waiting for you. Why manager couldnt come to table to explain all at the table?? 2)Be aware that they dont have any communication with staff - not WhatsApp groups (though there is WiFi), not even walkie-talkie. So expect to go to reception every time you need something (like water which they dont provide in rooms). 3)Food is eatable but surely not what you expect. All in all spot and lodge itself is nice but service is definitely not what you expect for that money. Hopefully they can solve all their management problems.
• When we stayed at the Lodge there weren't too many other guests and we had the pool to ourselves. However, if the camp had been full the pool might have been a bit small to accommodate everyone.
