    Pros +

    • Absolutely stunning location - it's an actual medieval castle with a magnificent view on the valley and the village. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. He also gave me some great tips for my trip in the area. The room was perfectly clean and had modern equipment (shower, etc.). Having a full minibar was also quite helpful.
    • Beautiful place, nice rooms, friendly staff (when we found them, most of the hotel was closed when we were there). Nice pool area.
    • Magical hidden gem with fantastic rooms, breathtaking views, excellent breakfast, responsive staff. My wife and I stayed in one of the tower rooms and the views were incredible, the rooms so velll designed and clean. The girls loved the pool, the staff prepared an amazing breakfast for us by the side of the pool

    Cons -

    • The only downside is that the normal check in is only until 20:30. There seem to be some late check in options, but they need to be arranged in advance. That said, for my next stay there I will most likely choose to have dinner at the castle, as there is a very nice restaurant there.
    • The restaurant was closed the two days we were there. We were told this before arriving, but we believe that they could have informed us that NOTHING is going to be open. Not able to get something to drink or a snack.Few other guests, but a couple told us that our child shouldn't be making any noise when swimming (she was not yelling, but talked to us loudly across the pool). They said the place is not for children/family. So if this is true, the hotel needs to put that up in the booking.Breakfast - ok, but too expensive for just fruit, toast and juice.
    • Everything was great.

The staff were really helpful throughout the whole stay but particularly on check in and when we changed to another room. The location is breath taking and the F&B was superb, although a little pricey for the locale.

The bathrooms inside the older rooms seriously need updating.

    Fabulous view from the restaurant!

Both accommodation and breakfast a bit expensive unfortunately

wonderful castle atmosphere up above the town. we stayed in the apt which had an old kitchen but it didn’t matter. Beds were very good and bathroom spacious with everything you need. delicious breakfast served!

We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant but it is closed on Sundays.

Charming staff. Incredible setting and views. Clean and comfortable room. The hotel rates were very reasonable though we did stay there out of season.

Breakfast was mediocre. Worst muesli I've ever had and expensive for a continental breakfast. Restaurant overpriced and a little pretentious. I asked for a glass of prosecco and was given champagne, and charged for champagne! No coffee/tea making possibilities in bedroom.

Really nice accommodation positioned high up on the hill for some great views of the township and surrounding area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was really good.

The room was quite small and there wasn't enough storage room (eg no drawers or shelves) for our luggage. The stairs down to the restaurant, breakfast area and pool would prove difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

    9FionaPosted on: 10-11-2022

The restaurant had amazing views and delicious food. The swimming pool was a welcome addition.

We stayed in the ‘rustic’ rooms - quirky but ‘rustic’ decor might not be to everyone’s taste. Bathroom of one room was very small.

    Nice village or castle

For the money requested 5beds in one room are too much. Maintenance of some parts can be improved.

The location was amazing, the view from the pool good.

The room had no shower, only a bath which was quite dirty and the sound proofing to the neighbouring room was very bad. Most of all the food was very overpriced. The quality was low but also very expensive. We paid 84 euros for very bad breakfast for 2 days (so 4 breakfasts) and had dinner in the restaurant once which came to 150 euros without alcohol. The quality does bot stand up to this. A bottle of water is 8 euros and an extra egg is 8 euros.

Charming combination of ancient beauty and modern amenities.

air conditioning did not make the room cool enough, but it has been unseasonably warm

    9TimPosted on: 4-16-2022

Beautiful property, with gorgeous views. Lovely bedroom, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. My stay was for only one night the season had really started (much of the hotel was yet to fully open) so I am unable to comment further, but I expect I will be back

    Nothing to say
