    Pros +

    • We were renting a whole house. Nice surroundings, great view towards the Dachstein group. Good amount of parking lots, possibility to charge e-cars (only AC).
    • Nice location, clean hotel, great food, good firm beds.
    • Everything was beautiful and well kept, just as one expects it. The lobby and the restaurant are great looking, the houses are located on the slopes. The house was furnished with everything one needs, up to the last, smallest details.

    Cons -

    • We had a nice time, nothing to put here.
    • Soundproofing in the rooms at the hotel does not exist. We stayed in room 205 and the neighbors next door woke us up everyday at 5am (you can hear everything, from flushing toilet, showering, slamming doors, walking, talking) which is not something you would want when on vacation. The rooms were recently renovated, sadly they didnt think about putting some extra sound isolation for more comfort.
    • For such price the bedsheet and towels should be arranged and in the price included. The daily surcharge for a dog is hillarous, we have never paid 25€/day in Austria.

Spa area with great views, two saunas, infrared sauna and steam bath, great selection at breakfast, very good dinner menus. Staff was very helpful. Great location just next to ski slope. Stayed in the jagd house hotel room.

Mattresses were for us too hard. Village could be hardly accessible if there is a lot of snow, but was not our case.

Amazing place with lovely staff. Food was great in the restaurant. Lots of things to do in the area, hiking and walking routes are great.

    Great location. Amazing views.

You have to pay extra for bedsheets, duvet covers and towels. Never experienced this before

    7MversevePosted on: 8-10-2023

Breakfast was ok, often too limited staff to resupply. Menu for dinner (half board) was uninteresting, salad bar was a joke.

Almwelt AUSTRIA enjoys magnificent views on the Dachstein mountain-ridges. it a comfortable COMPLEX of chalets & hotel with a main building contains reception and restaurant

dinner and dinner service was pretty disappointing. we didn’t enjoy the normally typical high standard Austrian cuisine and service. we felt being served by employees and not by Austrian hospitality. we decided even to leave the property earlier.

Fantastic views, very nice and convenient houses / chalets, great restaurant on site with views, plenty of hiking available around, convenient parking / getting around, swimming lake in Pichls like 10 min drive away, tons of activities to explore with the regional „sommercard” included for all guests - fantastic place for wider family holiday. View of Dachstein is one of a kind.

We’d expect a bit more of regular servicing, cleaning and waste removal through out our multiweek stay but staff was attentive and responsive when we beeded something.

The chalet, restaurant, location and staff were amazing! We will be going back!

    10KatherinePosted on: 4-8-2023

Loved everything about the hotel. Don't feel they made enough of the underground links between the buildings. So easy to get to the spa. Food options were plentiful and everything delicious. Ten steps from the room to the piste. Couldn't ask for anything more.

The downside of staying on the mountain, not many alternative options in the evening, and not super close to a supermarket. Wasn't an issue for us as we had half board, but something to consider for people staying in a chalet.

Huts were very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and food from the restaurant was great.

Location not very convenient for young children learning to ski as it’s a steep red slope down so we ended up driving down to the bottom with the ski stuff most days. Bed linens should be included in room price (who brings that with them!?)Pain au Chocolate way too much sugar! (though the kids didn’t seem to mind!)

The staff were very accommodating and made our stay perfect. The spa was amazing, so was the location.

The dinners were ok. Main course were good but the starters were very weak. Breakfast buffet lacking fruit and vegan options.

Beautiful areaNice staffGreat food & drinks

    6RalphPosted on: 8-10-2021

The surrounding location and views are stunning .the restaurant Inside is Cosy but diningroom extensions lack charm

It is a bit cramped and I would suggest if you book a chalet for 8 not occupying it with more than 6 people .

Stunning surroundings and location. You wake up in the clouds every day and open the door to a National Geographic image.
