G.H. Knoll "Proellhofer" Cafe Bar Hills

The hotel is in a lovely mountain location with little else around it, so very quiet if that's what you're looking for. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was relaxed with a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. The restaurant has a comprehensive menu and a very pleasant environment with a terrace that has a great view. My room was typically Austrian/German; very functional but not too fancy and with plenty of room. Clean and well looked after as was the whole hotel. My special request was acknowledged and honoured. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Acknowledging that the weather was very hot, my only small criticism was on my first night the room was consequently very warm. There is no air-conditioning, just a fairly small window that I had to open wide to provide any ventilation.

This was our 3rd visit and we love it!!! People are so friendly our breakfast was amazing and the evening meal in the restaurant lovely!!! Same time next year

The personal was so kind and adorable.They were always helpfull.The hotel is well located with a wonderful view on the valley and the room was so confortable and huge (duplex).The restaurant's chef was also a great master as the food was so good and tasty. I just love the Zanderfillet and the salzburger nockerl. Big thanks.I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, it feels like you're part of the house.

Because of the hot weather/heat during our stay, it was pretty hot in the room. May be a fan in the room would have been a plus as my son was sleeping in the upper part of the Duplex, where it was pretty hot.

The friendly and welcoming staff, the comfort, the food, the scenery, the beautiful and carefully designed and decorated spaces with the beautiful views, did I mention the people? :)

The owner greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. Her energy and smile are absolutely contagious! Our room was perfectly clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and included a meat/cheese/tomato/cucumber tray, baskets of assorted bread (with various spreads), and beverages (we had juice, water, and tea). You can also order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. All of the dinner and dessert options we ordered were fresh and delicious. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. Ample parking, as there is a large adjacent lot in addition to parking directly in front of the building. This a is great place to stay if you're in town for any of the races at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Friendly staff. I was really late in arriving and they stayed up to let me in. Great room: spacious and well laid out. The designer and craftsmen who installed it were true modern artists. For example, the thin wood strip marquetry on the wood base for the clothes hanger. The gently curved cabinet under the bathroom sink. The irregularly shaped inlaid tile ornament in the bathroom wall. Fine breakfast: not a buffet, just ask and they will create. For example, a perfect omelette served in its pan which kept it quite hot. A fine fruit and cheese plate. Peace and quiet and the view of the hills with forests and fields out the windows in the morning.

Stairs to all the rooms: no lift. Also, watch out for two small steps at the entry which are a trip hazard. Really out in the countryside: plan an extra hour to two hours to arrive by car.

small and clean place with an extremely forthcoming host, great service and lovely breakfast. rooms are rather spacious and there is a decent restaurant on the premises.

room interiors tend to radiate a bit of a cold 90s vibe and are in need of some soft surfaces.

The staff is open-minded, fun, helpful, and very welcoming! Nice moment with each of them, thanks a lot ! The food for dinner is delicious, the breakfast is very complete and the location is so very nice in the curves, so peaceful, and you can gaze at the thousands of stars at night. The room is giant! And the bed so comfy. Everything was great! Highly recommended to stay here ✌️??✨️?❤️

We stayed during Formula 1 weekend and selected this hotel because it had an electric charger. Were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the owners and overall welcoming atmosphere. We had spacious room with jacuzzi. There was a big restaurant with a glass roof and big TV screen. Food was very tasty. Breakfast had a lot of choice, especially we enjoyed the freshly cooked egg prepared especially for us.
