Good location, super clean room, friendly staff and delicious breakfast.

The area around the hotel is absolutely beautiful and very quiet. There’s a cable car going up the mountain and an alpine slide coming down — my son even rode the slide in the morning!The hotel’s restaurant was a great surprise. We arrived at dinnertime and weren’t sure where to eat, so we just went in — and the food turned out to be excellent! Traditional Austrian dishes, very tasty lamb and beef, and the prices were very reasonable. very good value. best dinner we had during the 10 days trip.The interior of the hotel is also much nicer than it looks in the online photos. Overall, a great stay — peaceful, scenic, and very good value.

Quiet, comfortabele place with kind staff, spacious room, good food both for breakfast and dinner. Nice view on the mountains from the room. Table to work. I was there when the winter season had ended, so I don’t know how busy it can be, but in March it was truly a place to relax.

Breakfast was modest but good, hotel was clean.

Could hear traffic from third floor room, suite was uncomfortable due to limited head room. Bed arrangement was limiting.

Very clean, large rooms. Beautiful views! The food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is dog friendly and has beautiful walks outside. Very friendly staff. A lovely stay!

Located just next to the cable car, the hotel also has a restaurant (which closes unfortunately very early at 8pm) and a big terrace. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The room was calm and extremely tidy. The price was also very competitive considering the season (mid Summer). Big free parking lot available.

The internet connection was not stable

Breakfast was nice. Good selection of local stuff. Everything was fresh.

God location, and family friendly with a indoor kid’s room and a playground outdoor. Good food and clean facilities even if they are slightly outdated and old. Fantastic views. We thought that the staff was slightly lazy and it took them a while to serve you at the reception and bar.

The regional bus delivered me to the hotel, which is a short distance off the main road. Good food, great views, peaceful.

Location was excellent...Staff was well mannered and helpful, despite most of them not knowing English, they still were trying to understand us and help.Neat and Clean...Nice Food..

Room did not have FAN or Air-conditioning.Coming from UAE difficult to manage..

The size of the room is good. Nice balcony with mountain view. The hotel is directly next to Seilbahn which was quite fun.

Awesome location in the nature but not far from town, surrounded by various outdoor facilites (lift, summer bobsleigh track, minigolf, rope park). The staff was nice, the room was spotless (practical features like tissues, disinfectants etc. much appreciated), with a beautiful view from the balcony. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The hotel also has its own restaurant with a terrace where you can have lunch or dinner (the meals were very tasty, mind only that they close at 8 pm.)

Only a minor issue - there were quite a lot of flies, some nets in the windows might be helpful (some rooms seem to have them, our one not though).

Gasthaus-Landhotel Traunstein in Abtenau is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay, with nice view on the mountains. We appreciated the little personal "messages" in the room - like the wise thoughts on the small pillows or the book on the bedside table. It is also a nice gesture to place a bottle of water in the room for the arriving guests. In addition, we found ourselves in a super clean room with enough space for 2 people, superb bathroom and a comfortable bed. The personnel was friendly, helpful.

Everything was great, the people, food were especially wonderful.

We had just one problem - because of the moskitos during the night my husband didn't sleep a lot.

Lovely family runned hotel. Nice location, next to a rodelbahn in Abtenau. Clean room with a balcony. Restaurant is okay. Breakfast is fine too. We enjoyed staying here.
