    Pros +

    • I loved the authenticity of Castello Rosso
    • The castle itself is very beautiful and the views from the room were fantastic. The beds were large and very comfortable and the restaurant served excellent food. The breakfast selection was good as well.
    • Views, decent room

    Cons -

    • On the website there was no mention of a fitness room, even though you have one. If I had known, I would have taken appropriate clothing ?
    • If you are here for the weekend, there is a chance you won’t be able to seat in the restaurant because of weddings. Hotel is wedding-oriented in my perception
    • Water accumulated at the bottom of the shower, so you were standing in a puddle as showering. The room needed more light. Maybe one fixture in the center of the ceiling.Poor communication about breakfast. The last day I realized you could have eggs and bacon, but nobody told us in the beginning.Cat moving around where we were eating and I am highly allergic to cats.

Location off the beaten track.Very interesting building with beautiful quiet and private places.

The location, tranquility, free parking and the pool.

The rooms were spacious and air conditioned with great character. Beautiful gardens and decor. Swimming pool was lovely and staff were nice

Would have liked a kettle and coffee sachets in room and poolside bar service ?

    Charming, good quisine.

Slightly outdated, breakfast rather basic, location not ideal.

Really lovely stay, super friendly staff and spacious room. Highly recommend

    8PatrickPosted on: 6-4-2024

Lovely place. Breakfast very good. Pool good

Don't go at the weekend. They are booked out with weddings. This may mean you can't get into their restaurant. They organised a different restaurant for us a little walk up a hill. Pool was good but both days diferrent weddings.

    9MelaniePosted on: 6-4-2024

Very beautiful grounds and a unique property. Very comfortable and quiet

If there are weddings happening the restaurant is closed and there are no options for food.

    7RickPosted on: 5-29-2024

We have been staying here over the last 5 or 6 years and enjoyed its previous attention to service and historical charm

Presumably due to financial pressures, this property is now primarily a wedding venue and the being a hotel and restaurant comes a long way second.

    Charming place

The staff was unhelpful and lazy, cleaning included only the bed

    8SabrinaPosted on: 5-18-2024

Beautiful location and very friendly staff. Pool area is really nice. Dinner at the restaurant was great.

    You definitely need a car.

    8OliwierPosted on: 1-14-2024

The staff was very helpful, even though we came late, they heated up our food. The room was very big and comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t big and there vere only cold food. We were charging electric car there.

At night somebody disconnected our charger and car had 15% of battery

    8SandraPosted on: 8-19-2023

Beautiful surroundings , nice pool, good breakfast.

If you weren’t in a wedding party, you risked being a second class citizen. No dinner possibility on property on first night due to wedding.

    8MattheusPosted on: 8-15-2023

Location, breakfast and very charming setting.

There was extended noise from gardeners (leaf blowers longer than necessary) and the experience with the cleaning staff could have been better.

    8MadsPosted on: 8-7-2023

Fantastic location, great coffee, nice staff. Pool was nice and clean and the garden amazing

Food was not great and the service at the restaurant was not great at all.

    6StephanePosted on: 8-5-2023

The swimming pool, room was nice, restaurant is good when they allow guest to eat in it. Could be a great place if they didn't care more about external guests than people staying at the hotel

There was a party night on our second night in the hotels garden with loud music until 1am and people screaming until 1.30am. No warning or apologies from the hotel staff. Stayed there for 3 nights and couldn't eat at the restaurant for 2 of them because it was fully booked by external parties leaving no options for hotel guest but to take their car and drive to the nearest city 20min away to eat

Brilliant location - beautiful building, grounds in spectacular scenery

    7AoibhinnPosted on: 3-13-2023

Views were lovely from the hotel. Beds were comfortable and friendly staff.

Option for twin room was not given. Small camp bed in room not suitable to use.
