Hotel del Sitjar

We had a great stay at hotel Sitjar. Rustic spacious rooms and very clean. The balcony in our room had a beautiful view. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent and a good value . The tables on front of the hotel were a plus, we had drinks and got to meet some of the locals. All in all a great place to stay when visiting Calaceite.

Center, all are near you. Staff were very kind and helpfull, commucation by spanish language. We came by car and found little plaza near hotel, ~100m from hotel so you need walk some with luggage but it was t problem. We stayed in suite 3. floor and view was exellent. There is suprise for you so you got one word ” bells” !! Ps go to see ruins of Iberico. Road is partly not good, we went by walk there. It s not far from hotel. Thanks

Very beautiful and stylish property with very comfortable beds, lots floors with different areas to explore, the village is pretty, just there were no restaurants open, but they let me eat my snacks outside on their terrace.

The location, the warmth of the welcome, the simple comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast, and the fact that the bar is used by local residents as well as visitors. It feels like a family business.

The only small room for improvement is in the main menu. Everything else was excellent.

It's a very beautifully designed small hotel right on the central plaza of Calaceite, a beautiful small village in the interesting Mataranya region. It's very stylish and convenient. We had am excellent large suite which included two levels connected by a staircase, with a large terrace in the upper part with a view of the plaza and the domes of the church, and a large window in the lower part with wide views of the landscape. The bed and table on the lower floor was complemented by a sofa and table (and large bathroom) on the upper floor. Breakfast room also with a nice view, tables and chairs on the plaza in front of the hotel. One of the most beautiful places we stayed in.

Unfortunately, the hotel suffers from understaffing, which was evident e.g. at breakfast time (breakfast itself was good). However, staff was friendly.Also unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, no lunch or dinner, in Calaceite restaurants are found on the main street down from the village center.

A stay at Hotel de Sitjar is actually the main attraction of Calaceite. It's location in the heart of the historic centre, the beautiful rooms and the many leisure spaces in the hotel along with very nice staff and the lovely family that owns and runs this hotel makes it an unforgetable and wonderful experience for any traveller!

The details and overal experience. The building is beautiful and smack in the middle of the beautiful town. The breakfast is a must book, it was great.

Everything was lovely. It was combined tradition with modern in a unique part of town. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Pool/sun area included and could park motorcycle in a secure garage . Breakfast very nice with a panoramic view

Lovely historic hotel beautifully restored. The lady who looked after me not the owner and I have forgotten her name! She was fantastic and had lots of knowledge of the area and the village. Breakfast was great and the view from the dining room is amazing. Best night's sleep I've had in a while. Really comfy bed and so quiet. Highly recommended. Thank you so much, I will be back soon.
