Pros +
- The hotel's location is convenient if you happen to be driving along the A-7 and need somewhere to stay overnight. I didn't try the pool as it was closed
- Lovely garden with great facilities like paddle courts, swimming pool and Spa offering massages etc. Staff were lovely and very helpful especially reception and in the restaurant. Lovely building - we had a room with a private terrace which was ideal for our dogs. Lovely welcome cava or a coffee. Water provided free in the room.
- This is a fantastic hotel. The room was large with super king bed and good sized bathroom. We have a private garden terrace which was perfect space wise as we were travelling with our Labrador. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. A real delight
Cons -
- The welcome at reception was cold. I found my room was without any running water when I arrived so I was unable to have a shower after my journey. The staff at reception said there was a problem but it would be fixed around 7pm. I was not offered alternative facilities. And it was fixed around 7:30pm but no one on staff checked in with me to verify everything was OK. Overall, the hotel is a bit faded - it looks good in the photos but everything is of average quality (bearing on 'blingy') and just not well maintained - for instance, the 'cool' black tiling in the shower was covered in lime, the toilet seat was loose, the grass on the terrace was artificial and so poorly installed it looked like a rumpled old rug to be honest, etc. etc. I'm probably being a bit harsh but the reception I received when I arrived was so cold and unfriendly, it completely soured the stay.
- The additional €35 euros per dog although we did get a small discount. Needs to be clearly stated in the conditions. The mattress and pillows were a little hard for us.Shower kept going cold.Restaurant a bit expensive.Lots of mosquitos!

Nothing to not like
Nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms
Bit secluded. Location not the best
The staff were very friendly and the food was very nice.
The place is starting to look a little tired now. They have a helipad however I can imagine anybody with that sort of money staying there. Not even any coffee making facilities in the room
food was good attentive staff in the resttaurant very quiet
when we moved to the terrrace we were ignored we had no service outside unless we went in and asked for somethingwe were the only guests so felt they could have seen to us more.
Nice place but needs renovation
Air conditioning old and didn’t work well. Water pressure was low.
quiet location, beautiful surroundings
Some maintenance is needed but the friendly staff, nice pool and nice seating areas made our stay great!
Overpriced and in urgent need of refurbishment
This is advertised as a 5 star property but it’s very run down and in need of a refurbishment. The property is old but this is no excuse for poor quality rooms and damaged furniture. Not worth their cost per night.
My room was very spacious and I loved the idea of the private terrace. Unfortunately there were so many mosquitos we were unable to enjoy it.
My room had a smart TV and walk I shower. But my son’s room had a bath and regular Spanish TV. It would be good if each similar type and same price room had the same specifications.
Such a beautiful & wonderful place to be, it's almost magical to arrive. The dinner & breakfast were both very good. The lady at the reception was nice & friendly and very helpful!
The lady in the Spa was on the phone having lot's of fun & made us wait. We had a question for a treatment the next morning, however, it seemed not possible anymore. We asked the reception of the hotel to call & she arranged it for us.The room was not very clean, surely not what I expect from this level of hotel in Spain.
It was a lovely remote location with great facilities and looked beautiful from the outside
It was old, run down and in desperate need of a refurbishment. The room was old, basic and just a bit grubby.
Building
When I arrived at 4pm, the room was not ready and I had to wait until it was ready. The building is very beautiful, but needs more attention to cleaning and cleanliness of the whole area... very dirty and I have not seen a single person who cleans and keeps order. The hotel is like a wilting rose ..... In the end ... when we went to bed ... realized that the air conditioning does not work ..... There is no one at the reception ... no one answers the reception phone ... as a result I did not sleep a wink because of the heat in the room ... it is impossible to open the window ... as the number of mosquitoes ... just immediately eats ... in the end we waited until 7 am at the reception staff appeared ... and we left ... it should be noted that the hotel admitted its fault and compensated 100% of the cost of the room ... it's a pity that the whole weekend was wasted ...The hotel, if of course, they want to be called as such just categorically need to urgently put everything in order ... clean everything ... repair, clean the pool, clean the territory ... good luck.
We really liked the staff, the food and the surroundings. Very good area for people who’s travelling with a dog.
The water was very hot in the bathroom. Both in the shower and in tap of the basin. Could be dangerous.
Wonderful boutique spa hotel in the quiet countryside. This was our second time here and we returned for the nice atmosphere, the friendly staff and the fantastic food. This hotel is very dog friendly and our dog Ruby could join us for dinner and breakfast. It’s also possible to take a stroll with the dog on a dirt road around the neighbourhood. Our room was fantastic, very spacious and with a very good bed. Both dinner, choices of wine and breakfast are delicious. The chef is talented and creative and we have really enjoyed our dinners that have been served by a waiter who is made for his job. The breakfast is served from a menu and is very fresh and very rich. We have also been able to charge our electrical car without any problems. We can really recommend this hotel!
We don’t speak Spanish and that makes it a little bit complicated, but everyone tries their best to communicate and somehow everything goes very well.
Friendly hotel with very nice staff that made us and our dog feel very welcome. The dinner and the breakfast (served as a menu) was exquisite and the wines made us happy. Our dog was welcomed everywhere and it was possible to take a longer walk with her in the surroundings. We could also charge our car in an easy way. Next time we won’t take a room at the bottom floor. It was a bit too dark for us. We were surprised that two lamps wasn’t working in our bathroom, we would have expected more from this hotel. Despite that we will gladly return. This is a perfect stop for a nice night when passing by.
nice hotel + very good restaurant
very high extra charges not justified (part i can understand // justify but not all)never received any final invoice
This is a really beautiful hotel, with a very snug feel. The service is great, the food and wine were exceptional, really, fine-dining grade. The grounds were well looked after and it's a very quiet area. We enjoyed going for walks to explore the local fields and discovering some abandoned buildings. We are motorcyclists and were welcomed. Parking is secure and the hotel is perfectly placed to go and explore the most amazing local mountains. We also took a taxi into Tarragona for about €35 each way.
Very little to complain about. The only thing I could suggest is a tea/coffee station in the room. Us Brits do like to be able to make us a tea or coffee on our own at times. Also, there's no bar, (but drinks can be ordered from reception). Some buttons that activate things in the main pool of the Spa were not working.
Good was good and staff friendly.
Bathroom had dust all over and room smelled very musty and it was all clammy with humidity.
The hotel is in a lovely area. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. The hotel is very dog-friendly.
The villa we stayed in hadn't been used in a while and so there were some small teething problems but the hotel dealt with them speedily.
