Pros +
- Like laid back vibe , nice rooms and very nice staff . No rush to check out or to push you to be fast . Really good vibe
- Charming hotel outside Uzès and within walking distance from the Pont du Gard. It is a lovely old Post house with a nice garden and pool. Also a good and reasonably-priced restaurant.
- The staff were very friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It is a lovely walk through woods to get to the Pont du Gard aqueduct which is well worth visiting.
Cons -
- The staff was over stretched
- It would have been handy to have an electric car recharge station. Also, the decoration of the hotel is a little too spartan!
- The hotel is beside a busy road so you have to look at the hotel's description of which way the rooms face when booking (I would imagine "road facing" rooms are quite noisy).

The staff said they can sent us the receipt with company address by email but we still never receive.
Hotel and surrounding area. Quiet place, possibility to come with pets.
The one side of the bed’s mattress had a sticking out spring poking into my partner’s back.
Beautiful building in a beautiful setting! The room was spacious and well designed, the bed was comfortable. The food and wine excellent. Laura our waiter was fabulous! She gave great wine recommendations. The location of the hotel is great with a 20 minute walk to Le Pont du Gard. Will be back!
That we were only staying one night!
The old building was lovely and the pool was a bonus. The staff were charming and very helpful.
The breakfast was poor value for money at E20 per head particularly compared with lower rated hotels we stayed at on the trip. Having read the publicity about the chef in advance the dinners were disappointing. Some individual dishes were good but many lacked flavour and the passion mentioned in the website seemed lacking. Deserts were nothing like the pictures on the website. TOur bathroom had a shower over the bath which was tricky to get in and out of.
It is a very nice building that has had a lot of money spent on it in the past. Modern but in certain areas old fashioned. The staff were pleasant. The waitress for the evening meal was lovely but a bit unfair on her to have to deal with 9 tables on her own. The hotel has obviously changed hands since we last went which was many years ago
I think the restaurant was over priced and the wine list lacking in choice especially when there are so many to choose from. If you have a bath in the room then have a plug for it. When you have done a long journey sometimes you feel like a good soak! Or tell the guests due to a water shortage we are not allowing baths.
This hotel has the possibility of being a 5 star but it is missing the tender loving care and the daily maintenance. The staff is wonderful and they are all very nice when you can find them.
No electrical outlets by the bedside. No full length mirror anywhere in the room. The grounds are not well kept. The baseboards have peeling paint.
The location is lovely if you want somewhere away from shops, restaurants etc. It is about a 30 min walk from the hotel to Pont du Gard. You walk along a track/ quiet road through some woods which was really nice. The breakfast was nice. The garden/pool area was nice. You can slightly hear the road but it didn’t bother us at all.
Apart from the restaurant on site, there aren’t any restaurants nearby. Unfortunately we didn’t have a car so we were a bit stuck for what to eat.
Staff were fabulous, there is a beautiful pool and gardens, and the outdoor dining is delightful.
Only from a previous review did we realise that the small plastic bottles of chilled water (40cl) were not complimentary, as is quite normal, but were in fact at a cost of €3 each. And an extra tea bag to the 2 provided would cost €1,50 (one Euro fifty cents!) - for a single tea bag.Restaurant dinner disappointing - did not look anything like the style or quality of food portrayed by hotel’s own web site. Check out their lonely 3 options per menu course before you decide to stay.Overall over priced, and hospitalty would not seem to be the owners first priority.
Nice and comfortable room though a bit small, good breakfast, everything available that you need
There was a bit of positive energy missing, staff was friendly and correct but something missed in the atmosphere . That also applies to the restaurant where the served dishes were not completely worth the price.
the exterior of the former post riders stop with the courts have been intimate and quiet.the dinners have been excellent.
the furniture didn‘t match a 4* hotel as it was to simple. i personally missed ancient furniture and the quality of the modern furniture was poorjust 2 examples:on of the very few pieces an antique sideboard was covered with a planque of artificial wood from a home depot. the champagne was served in a 1€ glas
Friendly staff, excellent food, and good amenities in the swimming pool area.
It is too close to a very busy road which generates noise in the bedrooms. Paint is peeling off the walls and ceiling in the dining room, which does not align with expected standards of such a place.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful and spacious with lots of places to lounge. The pool was never too full to enjoy. The breakfast was good as well as the restaurant. Great location for wine tasting, olive oil tasting, the Pont du Gard or Avignon.
If I were to critique something the wifi wasn't the best, but we luckily didn't need to use it so much.
The location despite the road is very nice for going to different cities in the area. The pool area is lovely and the rooms are comfortable.
The shower in particular is really uncomfortable to use. I don’t know if this is intentional to save water, but it’s impossible to stand under the shower. The shower head has to be held at all times because the wall mount is too loose and far too low. This is not a “European thing” either since the last century. Also the drinks at the bar are pricey. I wish they had slightly more affordable prices which would have made a day at the pool possible. The same for the breakfast which is outrageously expensive. But I think this is how they make their money, 8 euros for a small glass of wine is a nearly 900% mark up.
Excellent hosts, village and location .A mix of village life and countryside yet close enough to nearby sightseeing.
Atmosphere. Location. Great food. Spacious room. Clean. Staff was attentive. Walking distance to Pont du Gard.
The shower partition is too narrow.
Great location and a beautiful property.
The expensive breakfast was a bit odd - it was incomplete (not everything we ordered, no coffee) and we couldn’t find anyone to assist us after we were seated and served initially. After wandering around, I finally found our hostess but still wasn’t given everything we needed like milk for the cereal.
Good location for walking to the Pont du GardeLovely historic building Staff were very helpful
Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working and the rooms were extremely hot. breakfast choice was limited…
