Pros +
- Good shower, overall a fair size room and a pleasant stay.
- Location was center of town, room was fine, and Bo-a was wonderful. She took care of us with special attention.
- The bathroom was very clean and was stocked with some nice toiletries. The shower was modern and large. The dinner was very good! I believe the chef is from Vietnam.
Cons -
- Room was stuffy after a warm day. Could use a fan.
- Quite expensive for amenities provided, didn’t include breakfast, and the restaurant was closed for dinner.
- The breakfast could have had more to offer. For the price, it was a bit meager. And, our bathroom door had a window on it. Very strange to have a window, when a person would like some privacy.

Good location. Nice and clean. Friendly helpful staff.
location
small not confortable rooms or beds
The people were nice and location right on the Way was convenient. Nearby small market and lovely bakery, too. The grey overcast and cool weather (and thus no activity on the front terrace) wasn’t the fault of the property.
Room decor, quality of linens, rooms in need of renovation, the state of the interior (1st floor) terrace the room looked at could have easily been nicer if someone cleaned it and put a few finishing out there. Breakfast seemed way over priced for what it was, so we skipped it and went to the bakery.
Clean, spacious room. Hotel in good location for Camino. Staff were very nice.
Restaurant closed Sunday night. Staff go home in evening leaving hotel without supervision. We were locked in … took us a while to figure out how to work the lock on the front door. No response to pressing the emergency button. Would have had safety issues in a real emergency like a fire.
The room was clean and comfortable and it was good to have our own room and bathroom.
We stayed here on as a stop over on our Camino, however it would have been better to stay at a Gite d'Etape as there was not much pilgrim feeling. I did book this though (my choice) so no real complaints on what we got.The room overlooked the main street and as Saugues is a working farming community it was a little noisy early morning.
The bathroom was modern and clean. We appreciated the towel rail heater to help dry out our socks.
The main hotel was across the street… probably very nice, but we were in a very damp building across the street. Upon entering the building the damp smell was overpowering, but ok on the 2nd floor where we stayed. The apartment was completely renovated… pink, spacious, quiet, nice bathroom… but very poor lighting and the bed was like a hammock and tough on our backs. Very expensive for this!!!!!!
The staff were fantastic and really lovely and helpful, the restaurant meal was delicious, breakfast was varied and good and the location was perfect. The place was also impeccably clean.
The shower was exceptionally tiny - literally couldn't turn around without hitting the tap. There was no soap to wash hands after using the toilet, there was no luggage space, the only chair a low stool. But all this would have been acceptable if I paid €65 instead of €110 (plus €37 for demi-pension). Way too expensive for what you get
Cozy room, big, comfortable bed
Food & wine overpriced. Staff seemed disorganized
Staff & food.
Tiny shower and toilet, very basic. It was not like in the photos!Very small room, can’t feet two suitcases…Our room #116 did not look even close to the photos on Booking website.
Very nice staff, good dinner at the hotel restaurant, good sized room
The hotel is quite old and really needs a renovation, the carpet is run down, the tub has no glass or curtain so you have to hold the shower head and hope it does not soak the entire barhroom, overpriced for what you get
Not much.
The place is overpriced, overvalued, and in neglect. We enjoyed our stay 2 years ago, and booked again. What a mistake. When we checked in, we were given a dumpy room across the street. We balked, and immediately had our room switched to the main building. The room was ok, but look out the window and you're greeted with a flower pot filled with cigarette butts. For breakfast at 14€/person, the toaster was not plugged in, the coffee machine stopped working, and the choice of food items were the most limited of all our stays in France so far. Very disappointed. Avoid.
Nice people. Good food.
Cold room. Towel dryer not working.
Owner drove me to collect an item left in previous hotel very very kind
Only booked a short stay could have stayed longer
Clean room
The hotel pictured is not the place where the rooms are. Upon arrival, no one was there. The number left with Booking is not in service. By pure luck I saw an employee who took me to another building. Outrageous price for false advertising.
Very good restaurant. Nice staff
Bathtub vs shower
Location was perfect, the bed was comfortable, and the croissant in the morning was good.
The property is old and needs a serious refurbishing. The rooms are desolate, with an old carpet, old bathroom and cheap furniture. The hospitality was minimal. The restaurant was closed on the day we arrived and staff had no recommendation. The next morning, the breakfast buffet was disappointing, with no service at all.
Our rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the hotel location was excellent. There was a bathtub, such a luxury for a tired walker on the Chemin de Puy.
There was some confusion about the price of the demi-pension. Minor.
