Pool not open

This is a very nice guest house cum hotel with really welcoming hosts. We were offered use of their EV charger (but declined as we didn't need to charge) and also given a full explanation of everything we might want to see in the local area. It's about half a mile outside Villarcayo, meaning a nice straight walk to and from a bar. Breakfast was extra, but it turned out to be good value for €7.50 each. The room was comfortable, parking plentiful.

It would have been good if the bar had been open, but we didn't mind a walk.

Quiet, calm location on main road into villarcayo. Nice pool. Good size room. Great bike garage.

Breakfast was typical but decent. Kudos to the attendant who managed to supply gluten free toast for one of our number! The checkin process was smooth, thanks to the friendly, bilingual desk staffer.Exceptionally quiet area - we were able to keep a window open for a great sleep. We frankly couldn't believe the value for money! We dined next door at el Cid and had a very nice meal, again with consideration for the dietary restrictions.

No gripes from us!

Breakfast simple but very good ;food in main restaurant nexr door is part of hotel excellent with local dishes as well. Covered and heated pool with beds excellent. A very classy package

A bar in the hotel as bar in restaurant does not open until9pm

Very nicely presented hotel. Clean through out with large rooms. Very helpful young lady on reception.

Sadly there was little by way of sound-proofing between rooms, so conversations, doors banging and general noise from adjacent rooms was really intrusive.Breakfast adequate at best and certainly not worth €7. 50 Disappointing. Overall low rating from me because in spite of 5 or 6 different WiFi network/routers to log into, none of them worked. After an initial connection, there was 'No Internet' or simply wouldn't connect at all. As a solo traveller, Internet is important to me and plays a crucial part of my trip and planning. My choice of hotels is based upon this so when they advertise WiFi throughout, that is my expectation. Their rating of 8.9 for wi-fi is totally incorrect and this rating should be removed from this listing.One final gripe - Booking.com advertised this booking at a reduced rate with a contribution from booking.com to pay the discount. This did not happen and I was charged, by booking.com, the full room rate. In spite of screen shots of the offered deal and numerous calls with customer service, they refused to refund me the money I was owed because the screenshot had not captured the name of the hotel (It was actually impossible to do this but they would not listen). In the end, I initiated (and received) a charge back by the bank against booking.com. Booking.com, in this instance gave zero customer service and should be ashamed at how they dealt with this situation.

Lady on the desk was very helpful. Room was well appointed with nice furniture. Bathroom was a little less well turned out but perfectly adequate

Everything was exceptional. The bed was so comfortable and the facilities were spotless. We arrived on bicycle via the Camino Natural Trail that is near the hotel and they stored our bikes in the garage which is this amazing cycle-rental center with beautifully maintained e-bikes.

I can't think of anything ... except the weather was not cooperating, but of course, not the hotel's fault.

The lady who served breakfast and completed booking out.They found space in their garage for my motorbike and the variety at breakfast was exceptional.

Could have done with a remote for the TV, but it didn't spoil my stay.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean and it was very quiet. Perfect. The breakfast was very good and excellent value for money.

the parking was easy to access and undercover, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast had a good selection

Hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. Rooms very clean. The receptionist was very helpful and informative. Food in restaurant good quality, very large portions.

Rooms a little dated. Swimming pool area would benefit from a thorough clean and clear of clutter. Car parking spaces very tight.

Great hotel,let me put my old motorcycle in their below level storage area,so out of the heat of the sun,and no need to unload my bike and hump all your gear to the room,also as a very kind gesture gave me a free bottle of beer,as I had been riding for hours and hours in the hot sun, breakfast was great,had late dinner in el Cid's restaurante next door,also brilliant food and service
