The themed room is a nice idea and it was evident from our room that someone had gone to a lot of effort to install quality when the rooms were first put together. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The decoration and furnishings were dated. The hallway walls were scruffy, the skirting boards were chipped. The wallpaper was marked and dirty and the carpet looked filthy. The hotel had a kitchen smell throughout.

Location by lake but unfortunately you cannot swim in the lake due to a bacteria contamination

Easy to find, accessible parking. Comfortable room - once you get to it. Good shower. Breakfast was ok. We stayed in the Jules Verne themed room, that was comfortable and very airy even though a little small. It may be that we missed the point of the lobby, there are several nods to Harry Potter in the decoration, but it felt quite unwelcoming with a large screen separating the staff from the paying public, perhaps this was trying to mimic buying a train ticket, or simply left over from COVID?

Strange hotel, the foyer (if it can be called that) is small and uninviting and the stairway and corridor to the rooms somewhat dark and unpleasant (with a strange smell).

This was a good lake side location and ideal for our requirements. Free parking was a bonus and the room with an outside terrace was good.Good quality restaurant on site.

We arrived within our expected time slot but the front door was on a key code and there was nobody around. We eventually found a phone number from our booking and someone came and let us in.Coffee and Tea in the room was advertised but the Coffee was via a machine with no operating instructions and the only Tea offered was Green and Earl Grey.

The entire team at Lakeside couldn't be more accommodating, going out of their way to get us a 'proper' cup of tea and always ensuring we were enjoying our stay. The location was ideal, slightly out of Parentis so nice and quiet. The food at the restaurant was always excellent.

I am struggling to find any fault at all.

There was a friendly greeting from the woman on reception and she was kind and helpful. The terrace was great and the room very well equipped. It was quiet and comfortable and in a good location near the lake.

The man in charge of the dining room was unfriendly and unhelpful. The dinner was OK but overpriced. Breakfast was poor. I got down 45 minutes before closing time; they had run out of bread, viennoiserie, fruit, no one was filling things up, the TV was blaring, altogether not a good atmosphere.

The air of total professionalism allied to the friendly ,relaxed atmosphere. Dinner menu varied in content and flavours; delicious.Lakeside setting offers plenty of water activities : participate or just watch!
