Spacious room overlooking the garden and pool, comfortable bed. Excellent, friendly and professional service in the restaurant and bar from Angela and Bista. Lovely clean pool and spa facilities (sauna and steam room). Great food—much better than we expected for some reason.

Bedroom smelled musty when we arrived. Otherwise good!

This was fairly priced and in a location that suited our route to a wedding location.

The breakfast was sub-par. The scrambled eggs were very dense and not appertizing, therefore I tried for the boiled eggs, they were ice cold and the yolk was greenish like they had been boiled way to long.

Terrace room was excellent, comfortable and had all amenities you need. Dinner and breakfast were good value and tasty. Room included complimentary bottle of red wine!

Beautiful hotel with great and attentive staff. They were super helpful and you could tell they really care. The property is so beautiful and unique. As a family of 4, we stayed in two connected rooms, it was clean and spacious. There was a problem with the AC upon check-in, so we were given another room and weren’t charged for that night until it was fixed.Breakfast is very nice, we also had lunch in the restaurant and it was really good. Outdoor pool is calm and beautiful, indoor pool and Jacuzzi are also nice, great little gym and very clean shared facilities. Free parking for guests.

I would love an upgrade in the room- a coffee machine would have been nice, more variety in the mini bar. Also the rugs in the rooms should be taken out, it has been too long.

The cleanliness of the room in general & bathroom was very good (carpet excluded) and the bed was comfortable. There is an on site restaurant which is open daily & the food was good quality. Generous breakfast with lots of choice. There are indoor & outdoor pools and a spa. The setting is lovely, very scenic and it was nice to eat breakfast on the terrace. The hotel is a not for profit ethical organisation helping various groups in need.

The room was very dated and the carpet was horrible - stained and ill fitting. The food prep in the restaurant was very slow. The bar service was generally slow too.

Indoor pool, sauna and steam room were terrific after a long day hiking. Food was terrific also - especially breakfast! Staff was excellent.

Really nice hotel. Super clean. Had a playground for the baby and really nice that there was a baby cot available. The staff was amazing sweet and very helpful.

Very good stay, friendly staff and quiet location.The hotel was very nice, albeit you could tell a refurbishment is needed in the medium term. The room was pleasant but there was some tear on the furniture and curtains, nothing that impacts the comfort obviously, but it's just for appearances sake.

The only thing I did not like was the mattress, it was very hard and springy, perhaps when a refurbishment is indeed carried out new mattresses need to be installed. Spring mattresses in 2025 are very uncomfortable, other than that the hotel was amazing.

Good room, very good restaurant and food, good pool area.

The music in the hotel - especially in the restaurant was too loud and the lights hanging outside from the restaurant area to the bar are much too bright.

Location and garden was great. Dinner at the restaurant was very nice. Staff was very professional and helpful.

The bed was nice but too hard for me. Breakfast was okay.

Location is superb. Very close to the Conimbriga site, the most extensive Roman remains in Portugal. Parking at the front of the hotel. Spacious lobby and very helpful staff.Our room was spacious and clean, with all the facilities you'd expect from a high-class hotel. The indoor pool area and sauna, etc, was brilliant. Did not try the outside pools in January!!Food was very good (choice and quality) without being exceptional.The staff in all areas of the hotel were exceptionally friendly and efficient.Maybe I got a good deal, but I considered our 3 night stay to be superb value for money. We will definitely be going back.

Everything was good. Indoor pool area gets slippery.

Good service and very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, well soundproofed, and nicely decorated. Good breakfast.

The hotel should get rid of the carpet in the rooms - it accumulates a lot of dust. My bathroom had a door to the outside and the insulation was not very good so altough the room temperature was good, the bathroom was always colder. 1 day the turkish bath was not working and in the end it was simply because someone had forgorten to turn it on. Impossible to get a table for dinner at the restaurant without booking it in advance.

The bed was very comfortable.Food in the restaurant very good.Staff delightful.Great garden view from our 2nd floor room.The hotel is very close to the centre of town so easy walking distance.Good parking at the front of the building.

Our room was noisy being close to the lift.You could hear people walking about in the room above and using the bathroom next door.The bathroom was tired with rusty fan vent and paint peeling off the door and the carpet in the room was wrinkled and well used.Also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room,although a small bottle of wine and 2 glasses was provided. I also found the room heating quite noisy during the night.

The Spa was simple, but nice. Staff was friendly, but at times seemed overwhelmed or incompetent. Nice view from the rooms. Beds are comfortable, the toilet is big.

Service at the restaurant was slow. The interior of the rooms is dated, and you feel the old, in particular the carpets. They messed up my checkin, confusing me with someone else. The room was not ready for the kid, we got a constant confusion of who we are and our booking (ex, dinner included), and messed at the end with payment.
