HOTEL RURAL A VELHA FABRICA

Excellent stay, great hotel and location, the setting was extremely nice, a lot of history and surprises. The room had everything, lounge area, TV, fridge, air conditioning and an extremely nice bathroom. The restaurant and bar were also superb and we had one of the best meals of the whole trip. We would definitely stay there again.

The bed was located on a mezzanine and under normal circumstances, it would have been fine, but as it was a very hot night, the area was really warm, making it uncomfortable to sleep. However, there was air conditioning and a ceiling fan, which helped.

What a place. Converted olive oil factory. Beautifully done. Lovely staff, fantastic food, room amazing. Definitely a place to go back to.

Difficult to communicate with staff as most only spoke little to no English. We tried our best!

The room was miss-represented. It clearly stated there was garden furniture, an outdoor eating area, dining table etc. none of this was included. Having challenged the staff on check-in they said it was Booking.com’s fault. This is clearly not the case. The hotel is responsible for the content/descriptions they include in their rooms’ facilities. They got it badly wrong here as I would not have chosen the suite if it did not have the facilities they described. This resulted in paying approximately 50% more for no additional facilities. We were extremely disappointed. The only place we could sit outside was in their public area where a large childrens’ party was taking place. Our stay was completely ruined by this. To date the hotel have done nothing to compensate us for this mistake.

Only able to see a menu (Spanish or English) if you had a phone and scanned the QR ode on the table. No printed copies available. Room was split level. Full length staircase to mezzanine floor for bed

The bed was very comfortable and the room was HUGE! We dealt with a lady called Ester who worked very hard to accomodate us for breakfast requirements (vegetarian)

No rubbish bin and a few niggling bits and pieces but basically it was wonderful, there were a lot more positives than negatives
