Pros +
- Very stylish and beautiful boutique family hotel with magic Christmas decor like at home
- We had an excellent stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect, from the clean and comfortable rooms to the friendly and helpful staff. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast — fresh, delicious, and incredibly varied, with options for every taste. The relaxing atmosphere and attention to detail made the whole experience memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return!
- My husband and I LOVED the gourmet breakfast. We've never seen anything like it. Somany things to try in little dishes - creme brulee, panna cotta, fruits, donuts, caprese salad and so much more. It's the only place that served scrambled eggs out of the 12 places we stayed. We'd go back just to experience that delicious and FUN breakfast. Bart and Isabelle were very friendly and helpful. They clearly love what they do as owners of this wonderful hotel. Free parking. Very large and spacious rooms and bathrooms.
Cons -
- The lumpy, flat, floppy pillows.Need more electric plugs at bedside.
- For us the price was very high but that may be because of the great location in the country but close to Brugge with parking.
- Some of the furniture look tired, need replacing. The room is by the roadside and you could hear road noises if you leave the window open. The bathroom in the top room was badly designed and it was awkward for showers and toileting standing up.

Great location right at the bus stop in the middle of the countryside for a cheap and ez 15 min trip to Brugges. Beautiful wonderful family running their hotel. Great facilities and rooms. Really nice breakfast with nice service. Expensive for us, but trying to find a better value in the Brugge region that had car parking was hard. Would easily stay here again. Clean and comfy and friendly for sure :)

I like the decor of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect.

The hotel is nice and cozy. Hearty breakfast and friendly owners. The building was well-decorated with a lot of details :)
The hotel is elegant, very well managed. We received useful information and tips by the owner. The breakfast is excellent.
BHB is such a lovely place. it's about 10 mins out of Bruges but the bus literally stops outside!! And this weekend ( xmas 2024) the 40 bus was free! The couple who own the hotel are fabulous, really helpful and made us feel very welcome. our room was spacious, extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable, I found it hard to get up. I am not great at sleeping in hotels, no matter how many stars but in our room the bed was amazing. We absolutely loved all the decorations around the hotel. breakfast was plenty and delicious with local bread and pastry, eggs and ham, lively coffee. we could also leave our car in the carpark after check out so we can go back to Bruges for more xmas fun before our return home. we will be back in the spring for more Bruges fun. Next time we will try the bike hire and explore the coast. thanks so much Boutique Hotel Butler
It was clean and cozy. The family was really nice.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable.
It was very clean, tidy, welcoming and so Chrismassy! It was warm and very homely. Parking right out the front, breathtaking views and a stunning example for a family run hotel. The rooms were great, as were the bathrooms and all facilities in the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. The owners were very attentive and polite and very helpful. On arrival they gave us a map of Bruges and gave us an overview of the best places to go, routes we could walk, places we could park, restaurants to visit and even the costs! The price of the hotel was amazing for what we received, especially given the time of year! We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
The hotel is located close to Brugge in a calm area. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Many thanks to the owners for their help. They are so kind and professionnal.
Clean rooms. A lot of delicious breakfast options. Very pleasant staff. Quiet surrounding. Great value for money.
Very nice accommodation, every corner it’s a cozy spot ! Big room, clean, fridge provided and I appreciated that the towels were smelling good ! The breakfast was really nice, diverse, five stars for the effort to arrange and serve everything ! If we will return in Belgium we will definitely search to stay here again !
This was a last minute booking, as we decided to stay the night instead of driving back to Holland. We totally enjoyed our stay. Really peaceful and welcoming place. The owners are extremely gracious and friendly. The room itself is nice and with a huge bathroom and good, not toosoft beds. Beakfast was superb! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to friends.
I chose this hotel as the reviews for breakfast were outstanding, and the breakfast did not disappoint. There were many options for both adults and kids, and it was delicious. Compliments to the chef! ?Private car park was also a big plus. ??
No ventilation in both rooms, big under roof windows were not helpful either. No ventilation in the bathrooms too, so the rooms were very humid at night. Also, the general feel that this hotel is not for families, but rather only good for couples or adults only.
Very clean, cosy inside, spacious room, ok internet, perfect breakfast with good choice of hot dishes, sweet and savory. Hosts are very nice. Close to Bruges and possible to use the bus (bus stop across the road), but service is only hourly.
The room seems not to have any ventilation neither in the room nor in the bathroom, so it was super stuffy and humid (after taking showers). There is a kind of breezer on the window but it’s not enough. Besides with it open, it gets super noisy from the road.
Friendly Host. Well maintained Hotel with all basic necessities.
A bit far away from Good Restaurants since it's located on an outer main road. But if you have a car then it's not a problem.
Delicious healthy breakfast, spacious room, lovely surroundings, warm and friendly hosts, great location to access Bruges.
Home like hotel with super friendly staff.Breakfast buffet with home made oat cookies. The cleanliness is impeccable and the owners really nice ready to advise you on everything.
Breakfast was a buffet, great selection. Facilities were excellent. Although in a semi rural location the property benefits from a regular bus service into Bruges and Blankenbergh
