About

The hotel is getting a makeover! Currently undergoing renovation, it is scheduled to reopen in December 2026. The images of the rooms shown on this website are non-binding renderings and may differ from the final result. In Xonrupt-Longemer, at the foot of the Col de la Schlucht and right next to Lake Longemer, the Boutique Hôtel La Vallée Longemer invites you to experience the Vosges at first hand. Designed to feel like a welcoming home, our hotel combines the comfort of a boutique hotel, the simplicity of an intimate setting and the authenticity of a stay close to nature. Here, your days begin with views of the Vosges countryside, continue along the footpaths, by the lakes or in the surrounding villages, and end in a gentle, friendly and reassuring atmosphere. A house full of character, rooted in the Vosges The Boutique Hôtel La Vallée Longemer was born out of a deeply human project: to preserve local hotel heritage, breathe new life into it and offer a warm, elegant and responsible hospitality experience. Behind this house lies a story of passing on traditions. It is a story of family values, hard work, commitment and loyalty to the local area. The project pays tribute to these human and moral roots, while upholding a simple vision: to bring to life a place of quality, founded on authenticity, consistency and generosity. Here, every detail has been carefully considered to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere: rooms inspired by the landscapes of the Vosges, a friendly dining experience, a shop selling regional produce, a personalized welcome and a strong focus on the environment.

    • Small but charming hotel. Warm, clean, good bedding and very friendly staff.
    • The style, the location & the super friendly staff.

    Cons -

    • No soap or shampoo in the bathroom Just shower gel for the body
    • - paper thin walls: I heard other guests snore, tip toe around their rooms, watch tv, snooze their alarms for 45 minutes, talk with soft voices, etc- uncomfortable bed, barely a mattress- curtains wayyy too small for the window, no way to close properly - curtain rod complete loose, fell off multiple times - shower was a dribbling mess, no way to actually have a proper shower- no one on premise for checkin, no way to find staff other than accidentally bumping into them- bar and restaurant seemed to be permanently out of use.
    • Bit noisy, and the towels were like sandpaper

The hotel is in Longemer. A small holiday spot across the road from lake Longemer. The lake has very peaceful environments with services i.e. an icecream bar, paddle boats for hire in a small scale so it is ideal for resting and exploring. However, even though the lake is so inviting for strolling around that is not possible, There are no walking tracks around the lake even though hiking tracks to higher spots and other places are to be found. We were staying in a room for three adults. The big room was divided into two rooms by a door to give some privacy to each room which is very good. One needs to drive to Gerardmer for supplies, food items or restaurants. This hotel and two others nearby did not provide a restaurant services. Breakfast at the restaurant was plenty and served in a beautiful dining room. Madame Natalie was happy to find what her clients asked for.

With a little more effort the management team could make this hotel perfect. At the time we were staying the toilet seat could not properly stay in its place, it slipped out sideway even though one tried to balance oneself while sitting on it. We were given damp towels and our request for changing faced unwelcoming explanation even though the new towels less damp were given. If you are sensitive to creacked floor this room for three might not be suitable for you. The road in front of the hotel has fast traffic. It needs some other measures to slow down the drivers coming down the hill and those coming round the corner to climb up the hill. At present everyone needs to look again and again and cross the road very quickly at the crossing.

location and building. decoration were really nice.

staff, they force me to pay for my daughters’ breakfast as for an adult because she was tall. it doesn’t matter that it was said that children under 12 are paying half. it was unpleasant and she felt really bad to here this. in general the building was not clean, in our bathroom was other door which were opened and were leading to unknown but were full of spider webs, and there was ongoing smell of cigarettes in all property, you can spot the spider webs all over the place. breakfast was really poor and serve on not clean dishes, especially tea pots and coffee.

Authentic stay in a nice mountain-like chalet. Very good and calm location if you want to stay close to the lake during summer. Small and comfy room with everything you need. Very carring hostess and tasty breakfast. Staff did not speak English, but it was not a problem for us. We enjoyed practicing our french.

Everything was good. During covid, not many places to eat around.
