- One room was OK but my brother’s room had feces in the bed, unfortunately, when my sister-in-law got under the sheets, her leg and foot slid into feces hidden towards the bottom of the bed. She ran to the bathroom to wash it off then they went down to till the night clerk he came up and was disgusted and gave them a different room, which unfortunately had no air conditioning because he forgot to turn on the AC at the front desk.. we feel as if there was no way the sea would be at the bottom of a bed, less intentionally placed by somebody such as the cleaning staff or somebody that wanted vengeance of the hotel! Morning staff and the manager were not apologetic and even accusatory that my brother and his wife were responsible for it!!!

- Feces left in bed sheets!
- Beds so uncomfortable.Unfriendly staff at checkin
- There was a lot of noise coming from something that seems to be a church. A lot of screaming for hours. Also, the bathtub was not clean.

Clean and comfortable room.Great valueAcross the street from Camino pathway to Tui.
The breakfast is nice and the staff is also good.
There was a lot of noise coming from something that seems to be a church. A lot of screaming for hours. Also, the bathtub was not clean.
Very nice hote 2 minutes from camino and Zaragoza, big grocery store nearby. The man at tection was a little stuffy, he needs to breath and smile a little more but maybe he had some perpnal issues But overall nice stay
The location is really all this C hotel has going for it
In much need of a facelift, hallway carpet and walls are in a sad state.
Location was good for the Camino.Breakfast was ok.We had a bath. There was a fridge.
A bit outdated room. No facilities to make a hot drink, last time we stayed there was a coffee machine in the room.
Clean, spacious en-suite room, an excellent breakfast buffet and close to a good selection of restaurants. A good rest-day choice on the Camino.
Comfortable bed and access to balcony in hotel room third floor. Lounge area and wine bar.
Clean, comfortable, good location, great staff!
Nothing!
An 'okay' stay at the Portugal/Spain border. Walking the Camino....didn't want to walk into Spain late and tired so booked a room on the Portugal side. The hotel is aged, but okay. The staff lack luster...but efficient. The location is "Stellar". Next to the "old fort city". If I'd do it again I would have booked lodging inside the fort instead...lots of choices there. Hotel Lara is priced right...and okay for an overnight....but not special.
Location adjacent to good family restaurant. Auberge close to purchase Camino passport. Across the street from Fortaleza de Valença: Baluarte de São Jerónimo - not to be missed & has restaurants.
Great location for Camino.Modern hotel with good rooms and great breakfast looking out onto the fort.
Staff could have been more helpful with details of buses to Santiago.
Location, bed, breakfast
----
Perfect location to start the Camino Portuguese from. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Perhaps there could be an additional plug next to the second bed in the room.
Close to the old part of town/ Historic fortress
Was quite dated.
Right next to the Valenca Fortress. Bed was really comfortable and staff spoke good english and was able to answer all questions. There is a grocery store and plenty of places to eat dinner. Breakfast was good.
Nothing enjoyed my stay.
Location was excellent. Across from the fort. parking was never an issue.
Room, breakfast, reception all very good.
Found the pillows a bit soft though the bed was fine.
