This family-run hotel is located in the town of Lauingen, in the River Danube valley, and provides a traditional and yet original place to stay. It offers a sauna, beer garden and regional restaurant. Renovated in April 2014, all rooms at Hotel-Restaurant Kastanienhof Lauingen are decorated with modern interiors. All rooms are accessible via elevator. Guests can sample traditional, homemade Bavarian specialties in the restaurant which is popular in its own right. In good weather you can sit and relax under the shade of the chestnut trees in the beer garden. A marquis is available to ensure you can enjoy this laidback atmosphere at all times of year. Guests with cars will appreciate the fine road access along the B16 road from the A7 or A8 motorways. You can park your car safely here in the inner courtyard.

- You can check-in any time you want. We arrived very early in the morning and we could access the room. The check-in also functioned well even though it sounded to be a bit complicated. The owner does all he can to please his guests and just let him know if you need anything! He invited us for a lovely evening and told us stunning stories about his world travels. He has an incredible knowledge about Cuba and is actively engaged in social projects in developing countries. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are also fans inside if it might be too hot for you. One can see that this hotel is the owner's passion and he tries his best to do all the things well. It's also very close to Legoland and Peppa Pig Park. We would definitely stay there once more if we are around.

General room was well organized. One person bed was rather wide and long. Very good. I was really wondering why rating on booking was not higher as it is very good place to stay. Also the restaurant has a good choice of food in the evening.
All was fine
Clean comfortable room and beds on the 2nd floor with an elevator. Great shower. Checked in on line before arriving. We arrived early at 2 PM and were allowed.to occupy our room. Bike parking in a locked garage next to the hotel. The breakfast room was very busy even during early opening at 7am. The manager hustled to keep everything topped up..

Well situated for cycling the Danube. It is well equipped and comfortable. Our host cooked us an excellent evening meal despite being late arrivals.

The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. The owner was welcoming and helpful. We are cycling eurovelo6 and this was a great location for that and we were able so securely store our bikes overnight.Breakfast was brilliant. A great selection and very tasty.
The room was a little noisy as there is building work going on across the road currently.
Very nice hotel with some funny surprise in the reception. ;) The owner is a true handyman. He greeted us, in the morning prepared breakfast, did some technical work in the hotel by himself, and finally said goodbye. Very nice and helpful man. Good breakfast, a nice town around. Thanks for a nice stay!
