Hotel Emmerich

It is a good place to stay overnight to take some rest after a long drive before continuing your journey. Fairly priced for the comfort and service that you get. We probably would use this hotel again for this purpose.

After 4PM the reception is closed and you will need to call to receive a room key. We arrived later in the evening and our room did have windows but no curtains or roller shutter. After a few calls we finally got another room which was okay. Although the issue was solved correctly it should not have happened in the first place as we have a hard time to believe that anyone would accept the room in this condition.

The hotel, the room was perfect. Clean and warm(-3C outside)

The breakfast was of high quality products but quite limited in choice.

The room was clean and spacious, the hotel is located in a beautiful village. The staff were friendly. Overall I was happy staying there, it was a good choice.

The parking spaces are really narrow, and when the hotel has a lot of guests finding a spot may be problematic

Great location next to the highway, where we took a one sleep over on the way. Clean, friendly, great breakfast.

They accepted our dog with no problem, but 20 eur extra is a bit pricey and the information is not given in advance.

The breakfast room was very small and crowded. We were not allowed to sit in a larger room in the restaurant. Would be nice to offer an e-charge option. The parking lot has space for it.

Convenient location, the room was very comfortable and clean, even with a little balcony. Good breakfast in a bright room. Helpful directions from staff to a pizzeria 7 minutes walking distance

We were positively surprised by the very spacious and comfortable room! The bathroom also seems newly renovated. In comparison to other evaluations, our late check-in worked seamlessly with clear instructions.

If I want to write anything here, then that the bathroom could have been a bit warmer. But we were very positively surprised by about our stay.

Our breakfast was arranged earlier since we had to leave before breakfast time. Comfortable, clean.

The medieval town draped in and surrounded by vines is lovely.The hotel location is not too far from the motorway for an overnight stop

Some of the public areas are smoking areas... the smell permeated my room and the corridors. It was so disgusting, I couldn't open the window because of smokers on the balcony, almost no-one used the bar or other public areas probably because it smelled so bad. To leave/arrive I had to pass the smokers in close proximity which was gross. Basically I felt trapped in my room.

Great location, easy to find. Lovely welcome, we arrived early and could access rooms immediately.

The linen used on the mattress was rather warm, made a hot, sticky night more uncomfortable.

Location as stop over back to Rotterdam from Austria was perfect. Breakfast was good also.

Carpet I think had been cleaned but smelt damp. Booked two triple rooms but apparently they only have one, so a family was split between a double and a single room across three floors.

Location is a short walk from the centre and train station. Near the motorway, could not hear it. Nice restaurants and a small number of shops, which keeps the traffic down. Very good supermarket in the next village. Vineyards across the road. Very bright and clean hotel. Very scenic villages and castles nearby. Had a good week after watching football.

Parking right outside the hotel. Very comfy, very clean, modern rooms and a really lovely buffet breakfast.

The hotel is half a mile out of Winningen, but it's a pleasant walk to the town. A bit harder going back up the hill, but that's just the geography of the area.

It was disappointing to find that our balcony room was just above the smoking area.This made it unpleasant to sit on the balcony or have the door open when there were people smoking.If we had known this, we would not have requested a room with a balcony.

Comfortable, quiet room with good wifi and comfortable bed. Private parking in front of hotel and only a short walk into the town. Lovely varied breakfast in a bright, spacious room. Check-in was done inside the property over the phone, which was very efficient. We ate at 'The Mosella' Italian restaurant, which was brilliant and reasonably priced, with great staff. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and felt very happy there.

The knob to turn on the water in the shower was really stiff and I had to ask the staff how to use it. Perhaps it could be made easier to use.

The beautiful medieval town center of Winningen is only a short walk from the hotel. It's definitely worth the walk.

We were traveling with a blind dog that is not able to walk stairs. The hotel does not have an elevator, and we were given a room on the top floor (2 stairs) in the furthest corner of the hotel. When we arrived, there was nobody there to receive us, there is a call button with two way speach communication, and we were instructed to take the key that was waiting for us on the desk. Breakfast did not have a lot of choice.

Great location and parking available . Spacious room and good breakfast.
