About

The Landgut Stober is located on a historic estate overlooking Lake Groß Behnitz. This hotel is modern and designed in a loft-style. So dine on what is probably the most beautiful lakeside terrace in Havelland in the in-house restaurant Seeterrassen (opening hours: Thursday to Sunday, 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.). Landgut Stober offering an organic breakfast that is certified by a German certification body. Our organic hotel, the first bio-certified hotel in the German state of Brandenburg, offers 169 single rooms, 108 double rooms, and 23 junior suites, including three barrier-free rooms and two master suites. A perfect place for rest and relaxation: sleep like God in France in our COCO-MAT beds made from natural materials, in rooms with reduced electromagnetic exposure. The extensive organic breakfast buffet includes many regional products and leaves nothing to be desired. We place great importance on an open and transparent supply chain and visibly involve our suppliers as reliable partners at every step, so that you can always trace the origin of our high-quality ingredients. Throughout the entire estate, guests have access to comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage. Sustainability measures include a photovoltaic system for electricity generation that produces more electricity than the hotel consumes, a 160-cubic-yard rainwater reservoir to reduce secondary freshwater use for toilet flushing, and two wood-chip heating systems with a heating capacity of 500 kilowatts each. Guests can explore the hotel’s grounds with a jog around the lake, a walk in the park or by renting a bike. Landgut Stober is a 15-minute drive from the town of Nauen, and a 1-hour drive to the west of Berlin. Free on-site parking is available.

    Pros +

    • The hotell is excellent for conferences. Many comfortable public rooms. Good lightening in rooms. But surprise - in single rooms are open toilets, toilet is in your bedroom. Never seen such rooms before. The rooms are overpriced. I liked the natural and ecological concept at every level and that there were many interesting valuable books everywhere. No need to take books with you. You can walk along the lake shore, to be in the quiet of nature. It is very interesting to explore the magnificent 19th century Prussian manor with many magnificent well-preserved and restored outbuildings. Unfortunately, the main building was destroyed after World War II.
    • It is a beautiful place!
    • The area and the staff.

    Cons -

    • Open toilets in single rooms. The rooms are a little bit overpriced.
    • No chance of anything to eat on a Monday was quite disappointing. You could expect at least a bar menu of some sorts even if the restaurant is closed. The venue is not low budget and food and drinks are an important ingredient in the whole experience.
    • Way too expensive for what I got. And this hotel is a very good 3-star hotel. 4 stars is a bit misleading.

.There was no kettle in the room.

EV charging at the location. However, with the growing number of electric cars I would appreciate a few more chargers
