    • Nice location in heart of pretty village.
    • The restaurant was amazing .. the rooms were comfortable and clean

    Cons -

    • Strange layout with door to dark room which was the way to the lift. Also had to go to another hotel for breakfast.
    • Have stayed here a number of time previously but when staying last time noted that restaurant prices had soared and selection and quality declined so now only eat in brasserie.
    • Towels were a bit threadbare and small

The staff were exceptional. We had an onward issue that needed to be dealt with, and despite the language barrier (our fault), the staff went out of their way to help us and resolve the situation.I only gave a small smile for the location as for our needs we would have preferred to be nearer Poitiers, however in our free time we found the hotel in the perfect location for anyone staying in this actual town.

The decor wasn’t on point, but so what - everything worked well, which is what really matters. Also the chocolate mousse, whilst tasty, wasn’t particularly chocolatey.

Comfortable bedroom. The young man on reception was friendly and offered us the use of an umbrella as it was raining.

The hotel is situated about 200 metres from the restaurant but reception is in the restaurant. There was very little parking outside the hotel so we had to use the restaurant car park, making more than one trip to transfer our cases, coats, etc. The bedroom brochure said that Wifi was free - code obtainable from reception! The bathroom was adequate but the washbasin had previous been severely cracked from side to side of the taps and repaired with a thick ribbon of mastic. The plug was broken so the basin could not be filled. The restaurant was fully booked by the time we arrived at 5 pm. This was mostly due to the fact that while there were 50 covers there were only large round tables for 4 and one for 6, mostly occupied by couples, greatly reducing the capacity. We were directed to the brasserie, which turned out to be the bar serving a meal soirée étape - the equivalent of an ouvriers’ menu. Luckily we were able to find a small brasserie, with a limited but good menu, not far from the hotel. Apart from the pleasant young man at reception on arrival, staff were notable for their absence or ignoring us. The following morning we had to walk back to the restaurant for breakfast, then back and forth from hotel to car park to reload our car.

Nice location, very central to pretty old part of town. A nice big park nearby for the kids. Breakfast was adequate and beds very comfortable.

Lacklustre welcome when we arrived, and some confusing instructions about where we were meant to be (we were actually housed in a different building which belonged to the hotel, but was a 2 min walk away). No signage from car park to hotel so we ended up entering through the restaurant looking a bit confused, and staff were there but didn't acknowledge or greet us. No AC and very small, stuffy rooms, with only a tiny fan that moved air around. Rooms were clean but shabby in places. Breakfast nice but the high chair had no straps so was unusable for our 16 month-old. Had a friendly person at checkout but all in all, this was a disappointing stay.

Great location in a charming village, and the restaurant was very nice. Excellent value for the money.

The bathroom was a little rundown looking, and the breakfast was disappointing overall (although the croissants were good and the baguette excellent).

Extremely clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff - great stay.

    Dining facilities

Our first room was supposed to overlook the canal. It was on the ground floor, and looked out onto a public parking area and pavement, with no privacy at all. When we complained, we were allocated a room on the first floor - not very good views of the canal and an annoying hum all night from the ventilation system.

The food in the restaurant and the cleanliness. Also the young staff and the breakfast ladies.

The owners. We had a room bordering the river and the second night the 4 owners sat there all afternoon underneath our window chatting and clapping their hands . This continued into the evening of Sunday so we asked the reception staff at 9.30 of they would ask the group to move as they were under our window. She was afraid to do so. we went for a walk to see if it was better on our return. It was not. My husband asked to speak to the manager as we thought the people were staff. The girl told us they were the owners and that they said they would move soon.2.5 hours later at 23.45 did .The restaurant was closed for the evening and the hotel was nearly empty, so there were plenty of other places to sit. These people do not act like Logis owners at all. We shall not stay there again. We are nearly 80 and this is the first time we have encountered such disregard for customers.

    Not a great deal.

We were put in the annexe - didn’t know there was an annexe, not on the booking website. 120 metres from the main hotel and raining, annexe is dark, unmanned and straight out of the sixties needing modernisation. Had to carry our luggage back and forth from the car park, didn’t need this as we’re all pensioners. Won’t be returning.
