    Pros +

    • The spa is great, the nordic bathtubs outside with the view are awesome. The building itself from the outside is stunning and so is the view.
    • The spa was lovely, views wonderful, gardens well kept
    • A Four Star Bastide with an exceptional position and close to a very pretty small village - combinedwith a very friendly staff and a competent chef in the kitchen - what more can you wish for !

    Cons -

    • A couple things: building and surroundings are stunning but lights aren't turned on so you can't appreciate it for what it is at night, there is no bar to have a drink at any given time of the day it's only available during dinner/lunch which is a shame because there's not much to do around and again with that view it's a missed opportunity, the restaurant staff was average we were forced to pick our dessert when we ordered starters and mains for example (who forces a customer to order dessert then...), bedrooms could do with a freshen up/upgrade they look a bit old
    • Food in the restaurant v poor. Cold, poor cheese platter , v little choice. Service v lacking. Breakfast also v average for a lovely hotel
    • Trying to find something but haven’t so far !

The view was stunning and the spa was excellent. It felt like a little bit of paradise. The staff were brilliant. They were helpful but not intrusive. They couldn’t do enough for us.

Our room was quite small and the menu was limited in the restaurant.

This hotel is so gorgeous, perfect for a romantic trip. It was my husband's first time to France, and he loved France and especially this place so much that now he wants to buy a château there! Also, the hotel was only a 5 minute walk to the cute village of Tourtours. This is definitely one of my favorite hotels anywhere!

Good hotel to explore the Verdon Gorge and Valensole - near an hour by car. The staff is friendly. The hotel have an amazing view.

The breakfast selection was not very extensive. However there aren't more choice in town, so it's better to eat breakfast at the hotel.

location is great to escape from a city. rooms and bathrooms are freshly renovated. charge stations for EV. good restaurant. great breakfast

internal swimming pool is tiny the spa area was crowded. be aware that families with children are not allowed to visit SPA

The place is absolutely amazing. The huge balcony with the most tranquil view was probably the most relaxing place throughout our holidays. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is very tasty and the swimming pools are just a cherry on top.And make sure you visit nearby village!

The location of this hotel is quite extraordinary overlooking the valley and within a short walk to the pretty village of Tourtour.

This hotel relies on its location as its main selling point and there is no doubt it is amazing. However the hotel itself feels very dated. Our room although reasonably comfortable, was very old fashioned and did not invite you to stay in it a minute longer than you had to. The hallways leading to the rooms were depressing and reminded me of hotels in the 1980s. I believe some other rooms may be more modern, but I can only comment on our room. The breakfast staff were very friendly but the food was very mediocre (apart from the fresh orange juice) and led us to take only two breakfasts in the hotel as it was way more pleasant to walk into the village or drive to a nearby town to get a decent breakfast for a fraction of the price. We stayed in several hotels in France this summer and this was one of the most expensive but was also the most disappointing. I wanted to like it as we like Tourtour so much and were looking for a hotel to use as a base for future years, but we will not be returning.

Absolutely beautiful views and lovely friendly staff. The massages we had were amazing too, and lovely food in the evenings. We went into tour tour for lunch and an eve of meal too, and it was a very short pleasant walk.

The rooms are a little dated, and the double bed was 2 singles pushed together, which was a annoying as the gap in the middle was quite irritating.

Incredible views, great service and friendly staff

Stunning modern chateau hotel with stunning panoramic views in walking distant of medieval village. Perfect spa retreat

    7DavidPosted on: 8-29-2021

Lovely position and views but otherwise not ideal

The pillows, towels are not ideal. The room had a lingering odour of cigarettes.

Nice View from the Hotel, swimming pool is good with the nice view. Walking distance to TourTour town

Interior of the hotel need to be upgrade. Quite a lot of Ants in the room. Also, very poor sound proof.

The Hotel is perfectly situated with stunning views only a few hundred meters from the village. The staff are friendly and the exterior is very well maintained.

The food at the restaurant was very, very, very disappointing. Tasteless and overcooked, no fantasy whatsoever. We have been living in France for over 15 years and seldom had such a bad diner experience. Avoid the restaurant and go to one of the restaurants in the village. The breakfast was good though.
