Motel San Isidro

Better than the description on booking, it can be easily 4 stars not 2. Staff so friendly, so clean restaurant is amazing and staff so good. In short is perfect place

We arrived and the hotel could not find our reservation but found us rooms and we stayed in room 73 and 55. We paid with our credit card and left the next day, as we had reserved. A few days later they marked me as no show and I was charged again via Booking's cancelation/no show policy. I am extremely frustrated that they have charged me 2 times(once at the hotel and once via the "NO SHOW" policy - which is incorrect). I would like to request that the hotel please solve this and return me my money. It has been a month, a few calls and this is still not solved.

Great place to stay going north or south, just off motorway, friendly staff and good food

Location near Motorway Ideal Stop Over en route to Ferry.On site was good value and food choices though basic were good.

Beds were hard for our liking.

Hot water took a long time to come through, wasting water!

Stayed here before on several occasions and everything was good expected the same but not so. These occasions we even had snow and rain and temperatures outside were freezing but the cabin had been pre warmed and the water was piping hot. The elderly lady in charge tried to be helpful but could only speak Spanish at this stay. We spoke a little Spanish but she just agreed it was freezing.

Freezing cold room no heating. No hot water even though we ran the tap for several minutes.Bedding ice cold and damp.went for food just after arrival and one hour later both of us had diarrhoea. Felt poorly so went to bed used 4 extra blankets but was so cold kept all our clothes on and jackets. It was absolutely freezing. Water on floor around toilet ? Slow leak. Floor very slippery.

Breakfast would have been delicious but I was too nervous about the upcoming journey to eat. Coffee was excellent as always.

The toilet lid needs attention!

All we needed for a one night stay..The restaurant was good had a lovely evening.

Nothing.. maybe a softer mattress and a kettle in the room as they have a fridge. We did miss the turning when we came off the main road.. A bigger sign at the bottom of the road .

The location was great Staff very friendly

Choice of food

Room was modern with close parking. Location to and from the venue as it is directly close to motorway. Restaurant facilities very good but only evenings.breakfast basic .

We have stayed at the San Isidro for many years but the last two occasions have been allocated a smaller room.. more modern but limited size and facilities.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th stay at San Isidro.. It's a great overnight stop driving south after getting off the ferry at Santander or Bilbao.A gated motel right next to the motorway with about 80 rooms in cosy log cabins with parking right outside each cabin.Family run, it has a restaurant/bar on site.All cabins are generously sized with amazing spa showers.

There is nothing not to like!

Nice quiet spot, log cabins were quirky and a good size with everything you need.

The accommodation was clean but basic.Location good for our onward journey south.

Owner quite rude when arriving and checking in.Breakfast was very limited , 2x toasted piece of baguette with jam and a weak tea plus a hot water 8 euros...Bed was extremely hard.Flies swarmed my car as soon as I parked.

Friendly people. Great service. Everything very clean.

Cabin and shower were great and the parking was free and very close to our room.

Located on the A3 a good overnight stop between the north and south coasts of Spain.Cafeteria provided basic food for dinner and breakfast.Cabin style motel rooms with air conditioning.

Very accessible from the motorway, the log cabin was basic but clean & tidy ,the staff were friendly & helpful

It did what it said on the tin.

location is good and price is fine for what it is.

Last time the staff were friendly. This time it seemed that I was an inconvenience and everything was too much effort. A smile and some customer service goes a long way. Food was rushed and eggs were not fully cooked.......rest of the food was not brilliant.

Location excellent for overnight stay, south of Madrid and very close to motorway
