Pros +
- The hotel was in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was excellent. Lady at the front desk was lovely and very helpful. We were there in the off-season so we can’t comment on the full range of facilities, which included a spa and pool.
- Super pool area. Well finished interiors.
- + The place is beautiful - with great, calming design and fantastic views on the olive grove and the mountains from the common areas such as a restaurant and a pool. + The staff is nice and helpful. + The bed was huge and comfy.+ The sauna and the pool are great facilities. + The location is good to explore both the mountains and the seaside.
Cons -
- Our room was claustrophobic with low beams. It was also noisy from the reception, dining area and other guests passing our room. Minimal choices at breakfast and the buffet area was far too cramped.
- + The breakfast was a total disappointment, with the cheapest, lowest quality, supermarket ingredients: frozen bread and pastries, orange juice from the concentrate, boiled cage eggs, dry supermarket tortilla, tasteless sliced gouda (?) cheese etc. Quantity over quality. A bizarre decision in a boutique, elegant hotel. It was so much below Spanish standards - for what they charge, you can get two decent breakfasts in any cafeteria, with a freshly squeezed orange juice and a tortilla made the same morning on the spot. Because of the breakfast quality, we didn’t even check out the restaurant. I rant about it because otherwise the hotel would be perfect. + I would prefer sauna to be shared and thus always available, with no reservations, but it is my personal preference.
- Maybe our room was a bit too small and the staircase too steep. So nothing for handicapped. But ever so tastefully decorated. They call it cave style. Nice.

Just what you expect from a holiday retreat. Make sure you book it for at least 2-3 nights. Otherwise you will regret having to leave already. Also recommend the kitchen. They offer a nice selection of regional meals all presented tastefully. The place has class without being too pretentious about it.

The ambience, lovely breakfast charming staff.
Spa is not avaible after 6.30 evening & before 11.30 am - if you are visiting you spend most of your day out...would be nice to have an early morning spa or at least weekend evenings.
The breakfast was tasty, good. Brian here says that maybe the pineapple and melon should have been fresher some days.
We would feel that the dinner meal was not as good, certainly not as generous in terms of potatoes and / or vegetables as we would consider ok. There was one evening when Brian ordered grilled pork that he got his big lump of meat (which was tender) and one small potato cut into wedges. That was it. It felt very mean. And it’s not like we paid little for it - it was a healthy average price.
Beautiful property, serene location, comfortable rooms including beds and linens, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and dinner, overall very satisfied with our stay here and would like to return.
Temperature of the hot tub was a little cool.
We had a late check-in and the hotel made it possible for us to come in with instructions they gave us. It worked perfectly. We had a very short stay so we didn't get the chance to enjoy all the facilities, we'll certainly come back another time to do that! Very nice decoration and atmosphere and good breakfast!
Everything was very good. Maybe some sweets on the breakfast buffet?
The location with it’s beautiful view and calmness, the staff were so kind and hello in every way!
The overall atmosphere in the restaurant could be more cosy in the evening especially, maybe with some candles and more ambient general light.
The hotel staff are friendly and this is a perfect location for us as we have family living near. We stayed in a different room this time - little chalet style double - possibly the comfiest bed I've slept in in a long while!
At dinner the dining room could do with a bit of ambient lighting - it's far too bright for the evening. Maybe an honesty bar or somewhere to get a drink later in the evening? We returned at 11.00pm one evening hoping for a glass of wine but it was all closed up.
We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. If you travel by car, the location is great to explore Cordoba, Granada and Malaga as day trips. The hotel itself is located remotely between hills with olive trees. the pool area is beautiful. the hotel is very new and modern, same for the furniture in the room. We also had dinner there one night. All the dishes were really good for a reasonable price. total recommendation!Wifi was working absolutely well, also in the room.
Unfortunately we had not the best weather. We used the little spa area with the sauna. It is a little bit irritating that there is only a 30min slot per room for an exclusive use of the spa for the entire stay. More exclusive slots can be booked for money. We would have preferred a community use for free. Also the Spa is lacking relaxation options and the stone floor was not heated, this was very cold. Same for the room, the floor was not heatable. we turned on the radiator but if the floor is always ice cold, it is not that comfortable.
Beautiful mountain stay - very clean and comfortable and relaxing
Could of had some relaxing music by the pool in the day, also says there is a bar but you have to find a member of staff to make you a drink outside of restaurant opening times
It was so peaceful, the views were amazing and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. The hotel is beautiful. Noella on reception was great, so helpful and so friendly! We also enjoyed a massage on site as a treat.
There is nothing nearby so if you don’t eat at the hotel restaurant, you’d need to drive at least 15 minutes for something good to eat. Sometimes the hotel restaurant was ‘full’ but not due to space but due to only having 1 waitress on which was a shame. So make sure to book.
The location is secluded, but lovely, set in the middle of an olive tree grove with beautiful views of the landscape around. The hotel itself is spotless and breathes tranquility. The small pool is very refreshing and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax, both around the pool and in other areas. The restaurant serves delicious food and the house wines are of very good quality. The staff are professional and helpful. Our room is cosy, the bed is huge and both mattress and pillows are comfortable, and the shower has excellent water-pressure.
Wanted somewhere to chill for 24hrs and it was perfect, needed to relax, unwind and sleep and it's the perfect place for that. Comfortable, clean and beautiful location. Will definitely return.
Location was far enough to be tranquil yet it was a short drive to lovely villages and Malaga for a day out. The food was delicious too
the hotel and area are lovely, really enjoyed being there. nothing was too much of a problem for the staff. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful child free stay!
the only thing i can say could of been better was the pillows. it was a bolster pillow and a very small square one per side of bed the rest was faultless
Very nice location and great view! Pool is nice (but should be cleaned more often)
Cleanliness could be better: all the windows and glass elements were very dirty. Also I doubt that the pool area was ever cleaned during our 4 day stay as the floor and the side tables were dirty. The room was way too small - it says 30 sqm for the classic space room but it is not even 18 sqm. Refrigerator was very loud. The floor is a plastic carpet - feels not very nice. Breakfast could be better. The place misses someone that takes good care of all facilities and the guests. Unfortunately overpriced for what it is.
Great silent location with 30 min. car drive to Malaga center. The hotel is nicely decorated and its staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was so tasty with a wide selection. The area is on the hill so it is much
In general, no negative experience.
Beautiful property. Well decorated and very peaceful and tranquil
The 1st floor rooms have low beams which is easy to knock your head on them, you’ll have to bend down to pass under.
