Rural La Paloma

Only stayed 1 night as passing through and wanted to rest. Really good value room, amazing friendly staff and we had the pool all to ourselves. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was great

We only stayed one night, but everything was very nice. The garden, the room, the hotel. We had the the lunch it was great. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool more.

The rural setting, despite being by a main road, was lovely and peaceful. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The terrace for evening drinks was lovely and the restaurant had good choices for vegetarians and the service was excellent.

Not much. Breakfast was a little basic but absolutely fine for what we needed.

We did not have breakfast. but we ate in the restaurant on the two nights. This is a small hotel set out in the country but the restaurant has a very good menu and the food is of a very high quality and is cooked to perfection and well presented.

There was nothing we did not like.

We found the shower difficult to work

The lounge by the fire was most welcoming in December and the Christmas decorations were fantastic

Great location for travelling, food and drink was amazing , all home cooked food, can’t recommend it enough, if we are ever passing will definitely stay again

A lovely place with friendly staff. Big plus for the on site restaurant. We had a tasty meal there. Nice and clean rooms. Superb AC and WiFi.

Not a major issue but there was some road noise but only when you were outdoors. The rooms were silent. The pool furniture had seen better days.

What a great find! A lovely little hotel with 8 rooms in a great rural location, quite despite being close to the road. The restaurant was excellent and is obviously frequented by lots of locals as well as staying guests too. We loved everything we ate there. A great swimming pool with shade and a perfect spot to while away the afternoon quietly reading. The staff were lovely and the couple who run the place made a lovely effort for us to enjoy our stay. We felt it was a personal service offered. There were pool towels provided, as well as Sunlounger mattresses. It is a simple and clean place and we felt good value.

The mattress on the bed had a little dip on my side of the bed. My partner’s side was fine

Breakfast was ok with everything one would expect.Evening meals were superb, excellent menu choices with all meals delicious.Staff very pleasant and helpful

Road noise was quite loud from our room, as was the incessant barking of a local dog, only matched by a local rooster who didn't know when sunrise was!Staff cleaning room need to ensure toilet roll is stocked up more frequently, as this was not done on last day and we ran out, and there was no-one in to get another. Good job we had a supply of tissues.

Not well insulated doors. I could hear very well the conversations in adjacentvrooms and in the corridor.

When we arrived( having driven five and a half hours) the owners looked very stressed. And then we discovered that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday except for breakfast. The owners then informed us that they would be leaving at 8pm and gave us a key to the main door. There was a light on in another upsairs room but as far as we could tell we were the only guests there. We slept badly as there were noises coming from the beds every time we turned. We are enclosing a foto of the bed....they were both the same with the matress way too long for the bedframe.We glimpsed one of the owners next morning...he said Hello but didn't ask if we were ok, had a good sleep or if we'd like breakfast. As there was no welcoming smell of cooking coming from the kitchen we didn't bother staying.Our Tues was similar and when we checked out on Wednesday one of the owners was there and all he said was Goodbye.Approximately 8 years ago we stayed at La Paloma (under different management) and enjoyed the experience very much, which is why we chose it this time.

Spiders in the bedroom..but as it's a rural hotel you can expect this I guess..

Property has nice grounds and good road connections to explore the area. Restaurant and bar are excellent and good value for money.

Room furnishings are on a sparse side

It was in a beautiful location. Tranquil and calm. The grounds were so natural. Most of all the owners were the most helpful people from the minute we arrived. They just couldn’t do enough. Our car had broken down and they were on it straight away. Such service and kindness blew us away.

Breakfast was excellent. The pool was large. Our room was very rural but relatively large facing the garden. On Monday when we arrived the restaurant wasn't open but we bought some food at the supermarket and the owners laid a table for us on the terrace so we could have dinner. We were able to purchase some beer and wine too. A very kind gesture as the bar and restaurant were closed. Dinner in the restaurant on Tuesday was excellent

The hotel is nearer to the road than I thought. It was a bit disturbing

We just love this hotel. It is quiet, relaxing, peaceful, the perfect place have a chilled out holiday. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities that you would need. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and has a fantastic, large pool area. If you choose to have breakfast there is plenty of choice to suit all and the hotel restaurant serves the most beautiful food as ever. Andreas, Jackomo and all the staff at the hotel do everything they can to ensure guests have the most perfect stay. We look forward to our return.
