Hotel du Saumon, Verneuil sur Avre

The location is great - right on the town square with very easy parking right outside.Very helpful staff, great attitude. Realised a day later that i had left my washbag in my room. I called they knew immediately who i was and agreed to keep it for me so i can collect on return trip.Three weeks later they again remembered and knew about my washbag.

The location was great. The room was ok, but a bit tired as was the bathroom.

It all needs a bit of updating. Asked to book evening meal, the receptionist said 930 - far too late and unusual in France. She changed to 830, but as there were few people eating we went in before 8 and we're served. Bizarre

Nice location in them middle of the town. Off road private parking for a motor cycle.

No lift and stairways were dirty

Breakfast was good, location was excellent. Service very good.

There was no air conditioning. The bathtub was too high, difficult to get in . No hair dryer. No elevator, we had to leave the suitcases in the car.

Lovely staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Good restaurant. Good location. Beautiful small town.

Room needed an update

Located in the centre of the town and easy to reach on our journey to the south west

It was very central and lovely and quiet

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the position of the hotel was ideal. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection. Ample parking opposite the hotel.Would highly recommend

Sadly due to a large event at lunchtime, dinner was not available.

Breakfast was adequate, lacking items such as scrambled eggs, bacon/cooked meat, but was inexpensive and had good coffee, pastries.It was easily walkable from the train station.

There isn't a lift and the stairs aren't the easiest to navigate for those with some mobility issues

I arrive there very late and I call the hotel the reception gave me very helpful information, after arrive there the reception has already closed but I still find my room with their tips smoothly; there is a big parking in front of the hotel , easy to park the car in the night; The location is great, in the center of the town; The room is comfortable,

Very poor breakfast. Other wise perfect for an overnight stay.

Showers were very basic

Rooms smaller than expected. Showers tiny, stiff door opening, dark and unclean. Bathroom area lighting non existent.

Great location in town centre with lovely view over square. Light airy room, great shower. Very welcoming staff.

Lovely old building, shame that the corridors had been modernized, probably back in the sixties or seventies (a very bad era for style). Needs a sympathetic revamp.

Noisy hotel room with very small beds. Disappointing breakfast. Uninterested staff lying about solving a room issue or calling about a solution. All together, not worth the money and aggregation

been calling here for more than 30 years - rooms and bed much improved, food still very good, though did miss the 3 course option with splendid buffet

The location is excellent and the room was very clean.

It was disappointing to have to eat breakfast in a narrow annexe to the main dining room, which deprived us of the fine views over the town square which diners (sitting by the windows) would enjoy - particularly as the restaurant would not even have been open on the day in question.

The receptionist was really nice and welcoming, location was prefect
