Genuine characterful hotel. Massive fireplace. Food was good.

Room was full of fire smoke. Noisy at night. Someone had a massive party at 2am?….

Lots of character and remote but busy with locals and friendly staff

Nice clean rooms with a comfy bed. Bathroom had a good shower. Restaurant was rural Spanish fayre and reasonable value for money. Too cold for us to use the pool but it looked nice. Staff were friendly and helpful

Internet/WiFi was out - made check in hard as the cell signal was weak and no easy way see the multiple bookings we had made.

On a motorcycle tour , hotel was ideal for us , owner put the bikes in a secure place, rooms were big clean and comfortable. Half board was excellent value. Staff friendly and accommodating.

The food was incredibly priced and delicious. The 12$ "Menu del Dia" included two starters, bread and olive oil, a large main, water and desert. The staff was always very friendly and the whole place had a very authentically Spanish feeling to it.

Some of the infrastructure was slightly run down but not to serious extent at all, I was fine with it.

Bad

We did not stay here..we were only here for 1 hour and left to find alternative accommodation. The pool was still being painted on arrival, it would no way be ready to swim within 24 hour like they said. Paint needs to cure, and chemicals need balance., my partner is maintaining pools all the time so he knows what is required and explained that to the manager this. They only provided a double bed for 4 people, there was cigarettes everywhere, and people sleeping in a ditch outside. They could not provide the full service and we explained this while on the phone to booking, making our complaint, and the hotel has ignored the request from booking to refund us our money. We drove 7 hours to get here and was expecting to be able to swim in 40 degree heat.

The breakfast was nice. The location is just right if you want to hike the La Maroma. Its 5km from the parking lot near the mountain (1 hour walk). The bus stop was near and the staff was very nice too :))

Theres a bit of mold I think in the bathtub but everything else is exceptional :)

Big hotel and restaurant - below expectations

Very noicy and crowded restaurant on Sunday. Very basic breakfast. No view from room.The stay was not worth its price

Property was accommodating to my needs - I was travelling with a bicycle and they had somewhere secure to store this. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Half-board provided a very nice dinner and breakfast.

The pillow on the bed - but that’s personal preference!

Wonderful hotel and amazing restaurant and really helpful and friendly staff . We were on a family cycling tour and this hotel was on our route so we booked 3 rooms . We were expecting very little because the price was half of anything nearby. On arrival the staff helped us stow our bikes in a safe room for the night and showed us to our rooms which were very clean and well maintained ...great bath and shower with lots of pressure . We booked in for dinner at the hotel restaurant and I can honestly say we had the best restaurant meal I have had in more than a year . The bill was surprisingly cheap . In the morning we had a lovely breakfast in the big dining room which was kept warm by the biggest indoor log fire I have ever seen . The staff then helped see us on our way to start on the next leg of our tour . When we got home we all agreed that the hotel and it's restaurant was the highlight of our trip . I think as a business it is as much a restaurant as a hotel so we will be returning for long lunches and walks in the forest national park behind it.

Nothing could have been better . We were delighted. There really was nothing we didn't like .

Due to changes in our plans we arrived an hour later, but there were no problems with our checking. The staff was friendly and we got our dinner which was very tasty and felt like a home made. The breakfast was also great. The room was comfy and had a bathtub.

The room was heavily disinfected with strong chemicals, so we had to ventilate it properly before going to bed. The staff don’t speak English, but Google Translate helped us to communicate.

Good. Standard.

I got several insect/bug bites in bed, and the windows were closed. And there were no mosquitos outside (about 5 degrees Celcius).
