Hotel Zámek Berchtold

Amazing castle/hotel. Full of interesting decorations and surrounding. Room is spacious. It has nice round windows with a view, comfy bed and near the room there is a kettle for tea/coffee and a small fridge. Nice breakfast.

25 minutes from Prague center by car. But it is worth it in order to be in this magical place.Also a curtain in the bathroom would have helped.

Room is kinda small (depends on type you choose)Breakfast was good however the supplies were not re-filled much, so no goodies if you come after 9:00I got the cheapest room on sale for about 70€, standard rate for basic room of almost 100€ is overpriced in my opinion

The venue of where the hotel was. This old house is amazing.

The walk from the parking had no lighting or signage to check-in. The picture of the lockbox sent to us was indoors not where our keys were outside the door. We were lucky that a waitress from the restaurant was at the front desk, eating her dinner to help us. Now, if you like runny eggs, almost raw, this is the breakfast for you.

The hotel is very family friendly - the gardens have a lot for kids to enjoy, like the miniatures, a nature walk, football mini golf, and a 'dopravni hriste' (traffic playground - for bikes, scooters, etc); a children's corner in the restaurant.The breakfast was delicious and bountiful, the property has been restored in a lovely way that honors the original building but also has modern conveniences.

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable.

The new owners have completely rebuilt the building and the whole area to re-create the old ambient.On the day we stayed there, we witnessed the rally of the old timers and a live concert.

Missing air conditioner. Considering a hot day and tiny windows it was a really difficult night.

Clara was exceptionally friendly and helpful.The food is the restaurant was delicious.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in our room.

Music of the private action has been extremely loud inside the room until midnight. Expecting to be finished by 10pm.

The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Her English skills were sufficient.

The room was terrible. The only window was a small circle with a diameter of approximately 50 centimeters. It was dark and the ceiling was very low. The "double bed" was an uncomfortablecomposition of two single beds. The matresses were a bad joke. I have never ever slept on such uncomfortable matresses before. They must be remaints of the communist era. And the walls are painted brown. Seriously! If you don't have a depression yet, you will get one immediately After checking into this hotel. :-( The breakfast was very poor either. The scrambled eggs were raw as well as the Nürnberg sausages (you have to fry them!). A very poor choice of bread, cheese and sliced cold meat. The only positive things were the fresh fruits. NoLatte Macchiato, no Cappucino - just coffee with cold milk. This is no 4-star-standard!

Amazing location, beautiful autentic place, quiet surroundings. Friendly staff and amazing food! Massage from Karolína was the greatest, would 100% recommend!

Reconstruction of the old building was made with great success. The Interior was very impressive, Reception Lady was nice and friendly.

The food in the restaurant did not meet our expectations.The breakfast time was chaotic, missing plates, food, and napkins.The old man was unprofessional, perhaps not trained for the job.

2nd visit to Hotel Zamek Berchtold. Cannot fault this place. Well located for travelling through Czech Republic. Stylish, comfortable, clean rooms. Hotel rooms with a bath, which is unusual these days. Very nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Safe parking. Quirky gardens. Pet friendly. Excellent value for money. Won't hesitate to stay here again.

Everything is perfect.

The hotel is located in a calm area, the castle is renovated. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant was very friendly. We felt that our baby was also welcome in the restaurant. The value for money is excellent.

Though we like hard mattresses, the ones in our room were too hard.

The location was perfect for us as we visited an animal farm nearby and this hotel is just 15 mins from there. The hotel is very family friendly with a mini zoo and a lovely garden full of miniatures of Czech castles that you can walk around. The dinner was excellent and breakfast selection for such a small hotel was really nice. The price for the night was surprisingly cheap compared to other hotels.

Receptions and the young waiter at dinner are helpful and valuable members of the Hotel crew. Dinner and service was good. Outside garden what is nicely made. Mini castles gave a nice atmosphere. Kids had lot of fun on the trampoline.

This accommodation has a lot of potential despite requires a renovation and interior styling. The arrangement of the furniture in the room was completely made in an incompetent way. The old waiter in the morning drinks beer at 7:30 and pets the cat and then he goes back to serving food without washing his hands. I think this is unacceptable.
