Pros +
- Great location, comfortable and quiet. Hosts were available for all questions and prepared a good breakfast.
- Very clean and comfortable. Louge area is beautiful. Very nice for a winter stay.
- This was a great spot in the hills, very close to the village of Karyes, where we ate at a lovely restaurant and checked out the Sycamores of Menelaus. If we had had more time, we would have explored some of the many local trails in the area. Our hosts were very accommodating and provided excellent breakfast options. We were also pleased to meet the horses, cats and dogs who also make this place their home.
Cons -
- No air condition
- The mattresses were somewhat thin and on the firm side, which may be uncomfortable for some people.
- The bed could have been a touch softer, but was comfortable nevertheless.

The hotel is small, characterful and individual, set in a rural location that offers tranquility yet is only 5 minutes or so away from the main Tripoli to Sparta road. The breakfast buffet was simple in what is the quiet season but everything offered was tasty and of good quality. The owners, for whom this is a labour of love, look after guests in an old-fashioned Greek countryside way, without frills but to the point.
The bed could have been a touch softer, but was comfortable nevertheless.
The location is good.
We were placed in a room without an air condition even though we have booked a room with air condition. We had to ask for it and changed room on the second day. The second room, we were placed in, had no refrigerator. The double bed has two single mattresses and not one big mattress. The owner smokes in the kitchen and the indoors dining room, while guests are having breakfast. The free roaming horses are aggressive and dangerous. I was attacked by one of them. The free roaming cats and dogs are in a very poor condition, they look very sick and they are starving.
Excellent host and a great welcome, nice remote location in the mountains area, lovely animals
Free roaming dogs, cats, lizards and horses...you either love them or you hate them. We loved them. The host is a very interesting and welcoming person. The ambiente is simple and nice. Very relaxing, like making a small time travel.Breakfast is good.
There is no playground (there used to be one). There is a security light in the room that disturbs a bit (most people won't be bothered by it though).
A fine area, but incredibly bad manners.
Hotel was overbooked, but not even apologies from the owner, but unfriendly words instead. She is very stressed. She wrote some unreadable address on a piece of paper, and even refused to provide a refund.Incredibly poor behavior.
amazing place. The view of the surroundings and the renovated buildings are simply beautiful. Maria is a nice woman who cares from the bottom of her heart. She definitely made a pleasant and family atmosphere for us thereThe breakfast is delicious and nothing was missing. Excellent location for families and lovers of peace and nature.
In the specific room we were in, the bathroom could have been slightly upgraded. Beyond that there is nothing
Maria, the owner of the guesthouse is by far the warmest host I've met. I was treated like family and we'd share laughters when we see each other. The guesthouse is surrounded by animals and trails as well, so perfect for families and hikers. I really really enjoyed my experience there. Will return 100%.
Nothing!
We loved everything about this. From the warm welcome to the great rooms. Our kids loved playing with all the animals. It was like a peaceful sanctuary in the middle of our trip. We went out at night and could see so many stars! Sat and star gazed for so long. Breakfast was great also!We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
We loved everything.
Maria was a lovely host who probably works too hard with no other staff to help. The resident animals were cool.
The location was bizarre. The bed was as uncomfortable as I’ve ever slept on. There was no airconditioning on a 38 degree day, and 70 Euros is far, far too expensive for a guesthouse with 40 year old beds and no aircon.
The location is amazing, the place is very beautifully constructed, rustic style, cozy, like a mountain refuge. The room is beautiful. Breakfast is plentiful and was included in the price.
The communication with the host was a bit difficult/absent that night, she was facing some issues and there was a misunderstanding that left our room without warm water. it was solved the next morning after we talked again to her, and finally we had our shower
It is an amazing location on the countryside, exceptional calm place, where you can see natural beauty of Greece: farmers fields, sheep etc.
Breakfast selection could be better, but it was not a big problem because of a place
The puppies and kittens! Horses in the yard. Goats across (and in) the street. Rooms, dining area, and shared spaces were beautifully designed in rustic style, by the host herself, who studied architecture in Paris. Delicious home-cooked meal (not included). Very reasonably priced, including wine.
Host was nice, but it would have been difficult to communicate with her if my husband didn't speak Greek. Since she studied in France, I assume she speaks French well, though. We were expected to eat dinner there, even though we hadn't planned on doing that. Host made one home-cooked meal for all of us, which was delicious, but the portions were massive, and we didn't want to let any meat go to waste. Most pork I've ever eaten in my life.
Very nice place with peaceful atmosphere, good food and helpful owner.
great location and nice room
the food. breakfast is really really poor in quality and quantity. the food served in the restaurant is a joke but the high price they require with the bill is real!
Despite arriving at the confirmed time no one was there to meet me.I messaged, called and text multiple times without response. The Booking staff also could get a response from the property. Finally I left, as it was dark and getting colder and there are no facilities near this property, it is 30 minutes to the nearest town.
So unprofessional to not meet or even respond to a confirmed and pre-paid guest. If I could give zero stars I would.
Perfect place for nature lovers.
