    • The staff at the hotel was amazing! The location is very beautiful with a PERFECT beach just steps from the hotel and rooms with ocean views. The beach is great for walking, swimming and general rejuvenation. The breakfast has very many options to satisfy every need. The restaurants on site (one casual, one fine dining) are fabulous. Everyone is working so hard. The rooms are spacious and beautiful! A truly relaxing, exhilarating, inspiring time at this wonderful hotel. It far exceeded our expectations!
    • I say and watched the surf for a few hours. The breakfast was the best of my whole Camino (1 week). The canteen food was ok but cheap enough, the pizza wasn't great but the salad was big. Tea in the room. Very friendly staff.
    • The hotel itself is nice. The bathroom is big, very comfortable beds. The staff was kind :)

    Cons -

    • Canteen pizza could be better. I think it was a frozen pizza.
    • The dissadvantage is the location, there is no restaurant or bar opened (end of May). So, you have to rely on the hotel services, which are overpriced.
    • Rooms were very warm and the mattress protectors made it hotter

Fantastic location, right one of the best beaches of the coast. I was made to feel welcome from the minute I got to reception. Although my room didn't face the beach, I had a nice view of the green hills and countryside to the south. Great bar for getting a snack or drink.

Beach view was incredible! Access to trails for hiking was a big plus for us. When we had trouble getting a taxi to the property in the middle of a huge rainstorm, one of the staff came and picked us up. It was so kind!

Sited on the beachfront with good parking. Lovely restaurant with bar and tapas alternative.Comfortable clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Very good breakfast.

It was a very humid night and the air conditioning had been turned off .

What a fabulous location, right on the sandy beach! We enjoyed swimming and there of plenty of surfers. There is a place to hire wetsuits and boards further along the beach. The hotel has some private parking but there is also plenty of parking along the street too. The facilities are very nice with an indoor pool, small gym, an outdoor shower area (useful when you come off the beach), nicely decorated foyer area and a lounge with balcony on the top floor. We had a sea view room (without a balcony) and it was very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities. We ate breakfast everyday and there was a good selection of meats and cheeses, fruits, breads and pastries as well as a cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs etc). They have a café as well as a restaurant. We tried the burgers and salads in the cafe and the paella in the restaurant. It was all excellent! The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly.

Room - The hotel is located right on the beach and our apartment had a sea view which was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was really spacious and light with very comfortable beds and spacious clean bathrooms. There was a terrace room (not really a balcony) that ran the length of the apartment which was lovely and warm in May - perfect for drying swimming gear and sitting to read but I imagine it could get quite hot in the summer months.Staff - were always friendly and as helpful as could be although we had some miscommunication in the bar/cafe at times - we definitely need to brush up on our Spanish as not their fault! The whole area is quite unspoilt so expect to make an effort with the language and culture, it was really nice to not be in a big resort geared to Brits.Food - We didn't have breakfast as the apartment had a kitchenette which was adequate for light meals (fridge, microwave, hob, toaster) - no kettle though so if you are British, prepare to boil water for tea in a pan! Well equipped kitchen in terms of pans and utensils. The fridge wasn't massive but there is a supermarket just down the road so easy to stock up.Activities - The indoor pool was small but warm and great for our kids to play in as it was so quiet there was no-one else there. We also made use of the gym, table football and table tennis so plenty to do on-site. There is a garden with loungers but you could not access this from the pool area which would have been nice although maybe this is different later in the season. We travelled half an hour into the mountains to access a guided Via Ferrata trip with Vulcan Adventures - stunning but challenging and also a guided canoe trip on the Ason river with CanoAson - highly recommended. Just up the coast, Noja is an amazing beach and has a good choice of restaurants and cafes. The best bit for us tho was access to the most beautiful beach - great waves for surfing, sand for playing or just early morning walks - so gorgeous.

Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer and I feel could have been included in the price. Still, having your own kitchenette was helpful for this. We were informed that washing-up liquid and cloths were not provided so we went to buy our own, and then on day 3 a pack was put in our room!! Felt a bit wasteful as we were flying so could not bring what we had bought back! For some reason the light switch in the en-suite beeped loudly when it was switched on - not ideal for middle of the night visits! But none of the above stopped us from having a really brilliant stay!

I absolutely loved the location, it was great to spend hours on the beach, exploring the rocks and taking photos. It was deserted most of the time. My room had a balcony & sea view which was fantastic especially when the rain arrived. The room had a kettle for tea/coffee and a small fridge.

It could do with a bit of modernisation but it didn’t really bother me.

    Right by the beach

A long way to the nearest supermarket and buses to nearest town were not reliable

Ocean view, beach in front of the house, good quality restaurant, manager is super friendly and supportive

Very slow service, you have to go to the bar to order because they are under staffed, terrace is very dirty and untidy

Rooms very dated, bed and pillows hard and uncomfortable

You truly cannot beat the location!

This hotel needs a massive overhaul. We’ve been staying here consistently for the last four summers, and every summer it gets worse… our room was dirty, huge stains on the rug. The tea kettle had mold in it, there were massive cobwebs in the drapes, the AC has been out for two years now. The fish tank in the lobby is dark, dank and depressing—free those animals and get rid of that nasty eyesore! This is the first year I was hesitant to eat at the restaurant because I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I love this hotel and this beach and would LOVE to see the hotel restored to its former glory! This year was probably our last stay until that happens.
