Stefanakis Hotel & Apartments

Was pet friendly and the staff was very friendly as well. Have the best advice on how to travel to the city of athens and back to the hotel. Will be coming back again next year for sure.

Breakfast was good. Loved the Espresso. Location was good too. My kids loved the pool.

Super friendly staff and it was obvious from the first moment that they do care for their guests. We have received our rooms way earlier then expected. The pool was clean with shallow end and there is a very helpful lifeguard on duty. The pool opening hours from 10 till 18 is reasonable. The beds are comfortable, no back pain at all. Breakfast is average, nothing special, but the coffee is a must have to try. Cat-friendly place with a couple of nice one wandering around.

Lovely stay in a perfect location close to beaches and restaurants. Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean and good size room with nice balcony.

I am not used to the shower design. the first shower I managed to flood the room and had to use my towel in the bedroom to clean up. I did not know that I had to sit and hold the sprayer to clean myself. I am used to a shower head attached to the wall so that i could step under it.. and a bigger tub in order to not flood the room.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, e.g., with arranging a park place and advice on nearby restaurants. We stayed only one night and chose the among other things because of its vicinity to the airport because we had an early flight out.

I had a good experience in this hotel, it exceeded my expectations. I had everything I needed, comfy clean room, good breakfast, nice pool, good service in a great location. Would visit again next time I am there.

We had a great experience at the Stefanakis Hotel. We were a family of 4 with two adult sons and stayed in an apartment which was quite spacious. The balcony was a nice place to hang out and relax. We also enjoyed the pool very much. The staff, especially, Michaelangelo, was very helpful. We were able to check in early which was very nice. The owner was cordial and very responsive if we needed something.

The hotel is not new, but well maintained and clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. Breakfast is good, quite basic. They have GOOD coffee, similar to Nespresso, which is a huge plus for me. Swimming pool is great - clean and refreshing with lifeguard. In the room there are extra pillows and a safe. You can ask for beach and pool towels at the reception. Restaurants, shops and the sea are within 5 mins walking distance.

A bit of change from day to day in the breakfast buffet would be good. The ACs in the rooms need cleaning. The first room we got had a very strong smoke smell, which we assumed came from the AC, which in the inside was dirty. However, as soon as we flagged the issue, we got a new room, which we were happy with. Keep in mind that the first half of the long beach (closer part to the hotel) is a resort with entry fee. If you want free beach, you need to walk 1 km (15mins).

Stefanakis Hotel is a traditional hotel situated in a quiet position just a few minutes from the beach. There are restaurants, taverna and supermarkets within walking distance and once you get past the beach clubs the public beach area is free. As soon as you enter the hotel through the lovely gardens you will be greeted by wonderful staff who cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spotlessly clean as are the bedding and towels which are changed every day.. There is a small fridge in the room which is useful and a balcony with chairs and table to sit outside. The breakfast is quite adequate with a good variety of things on offer and good coffee. The pool is kept in pristine condition and the area around lovely and clean. This is not a Five star hotel but you won’t be paying Five star rates and The Stefanakis offers fantastic value for the privilege of staying in Beautiful Varkiza.(View is from room 302)
