    Pros +

    • The hotel offers stunning views and beautiful natural surroundings, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast is tasty and varied. The SPA zone is a real highlight, providing a serene space to unwind and recharge (although it is not as spacious as it might seem in the photo). Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Overall, the stay provided very good value for the price
    • Nice spot. Great breakfast.
    • Unexpectedly pleasant place. The park around the castle is neat and nice. Hotel restaurant is also great, both food and service were awesome. There's also cool outside terrace which is especially pleasant to use during breakfast. Breakfast itself is also quite good, there are enough different options, coffee is decent. The castle offers guided excursions, we took the late one, and I can recommend it, it was fun and interesting. The room was comfortable and clean. Although you can see that it could use some light renovation everything was functioning well, no complaints.

    Cons -

    • We stayed in a separate building, where the room had not very pleasant smell and felt a bit damp
    • We booked 3 rooms and would have liked all the rooms together
    • Our room was on the same floor as reception and hall, so it was quite noisy in. Especially unpleasant in the morning, when supposedly vacuuming started at 8.

This was another stay in this real castle, so I knew about its advantages. Again everything was as expected, nice chat at check-in, lovely evening concert, varied breakfast. I will gladly come back here on the next occasion.

Better signposting of the access road!

The pool was quite nice as well as the sauna

The restaurant's food was overpriced and didn't taste good. The double person bed was actually two different single beds and on of those was very uncomfortable. We had to pay an extra 25 pln for the parking and 15 pln to play billiard. The lady at the reception gave us a bit of a cold welcome. I'd say for the couple's stay I recommend going somewhere else.

    Food and friendly staff.

Room was little too small for the price. The only one sauna working and not too clean. Smelly steam coming out the floor.

    Lovely location, lovely staff

The pool and jacuzzi were so cold! Messy corridor with a pile of furniture. Food just ok - good variety but a bit boring

Well.. it is authentic. Has a museum straircase.

Very very sad and horrible at the same time. A castle with lots of dust ant locked doors. We came at a sunset, so spooky as in Blair witch movie.. the pool area should be simply closed by some hygiene inspection. They have hand prints in plaster of some beauty contest participants or.. maybe small children.. creepy. People are trying to earn some additional cash of this long forgotten asset, but it needs much of investment and a lot of staff to maintain the property. The pictures and reviews in internet say it is nice and renovated, but actually it is dark, dirty, broken everywhere..

The location is great. the hotel is set in old castle on river bank. The hotel's buildings are surrounded by a small park, so it's very green around and quiet. Breakfast was nice, selection of food and drink was very good.

Chaos and poor client service. Very difficult to get through to reception via phone. As arranged via email - we were supposed to get 'topper' on our two beds to 'make it' into double bed as there were no rooms with double beds left - it didn't happen. The mattresses were awful - very soft and uncomfortable. They try to charge us twice for drinks we took and paid in the hotel's bar the previous night. Receptionist made us wait at check out for c. 30 min while she called numerous people (barman, barmaid, hotel manager) to check whether we paid or didn't pay for the drinks. to clarify the amount of bill was... c. 8euro ?. total chaos. there was no water in the whole hotel in the morning, incidents like this happens obviously, but they couldn't fix it for a long time. then it turned out we had to pay for hotel's parking (it was made clear the parking fee will be charged after we made booking). to clarify - there was no gate/ramp, so anyone from outside (not a hotel guest) could access it and leave without paying. queue of dissatisfied guests at the reception at the morning check out. staff not helpful. very bad experience in a 4 star hotel. great shame as it is a very beautiful site and location.

Very nice place. Tasty food, great views in area.

We asked for double bed but in room was joined two single beds. Also mattress was much too soft

    5VictorPosted on: 8-27-2024

    Food!

No wi-fi in the room! Small beds! Paid parking being in a village is somehow out of logic!

The castle is located in a remote area surrounded by forests, mountains and a river flowing just in front of the cafe, great to relax. The cove is as well a very nice place to have a coffee. They have a Spa wit Bali massages. The room was spacious and clean.

Well, when you travel to a 4* Castle you have expectations and those were not fully met.The bali massage was good, however the spa options ( jacuzzi, swimming pool and steam sauna) were limited ( at least finish sauna). There was damp on the walls and painting was falling off in the Spa area. There are two receptions ( main one and for spa topics) in neither of them there was a receptionist in specific moments of time, no towels were directly available... they had to search for it. Seems to me there is a bit of lack of organization, like no management on site.In the restaurant the staff is running and busy all the time making you wait. The buffet at the restaurant was ok, nothing spectacular. The shower in my room was already falling apart, which means the last renovations were long time ago and as they charge for everything ( parking 25pln, climate tax, bathrobe 10pln...) I would assume they are not able to renovate due to financial reasons.I think this castle has a lot more potential, and with better management they can make it.

    The food overall was good

If you like black mold, if you like chats behind your window at 2 am, if you like when staff blames you and booking and can't provide the requested bed configuration - this place is for you.

    Interesting castle location. Pleasant grounds.

Endless loud and awful music playing everywhere.

We loved the open buffet restaurant, delicious food, the spa with swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi, friendly service and great location.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was great!

Food was ok and the room wasn’t to expensive.

We chose this hotel as it was meant to be a hotel in a castle but we got given rooms that where not in the castle but at the front gates. Our room was very outdated and poor for a 4star hotel. One of the beds was Broken and made it very hard to sleep on the tv didn’t work and our shower head was also Broken. The swimming pool….. don’t let the photos fool you like they did us it’s a extremely small pool with cold water and the steam room not only isn’t on it also smells very bad. It was a challenge to even get to the pool and get some towels as staff wasn’t around or wasn’t the most Help full. When we finally got to the pool we all turned around and went back to the rooms because of how disappointing it was. To top it all off we had a surprise at the front desk when they told us that we couldn’t pay card and had to pay cash. The stay was very disappointing and frustrating to say the least won’t be returning

Each and every personel member we came across was top notch, extremely nice and helpful. Rich and tasty breakfast. Beautiful interior and surroundings. Frequent and free events taking place on the castle every evening. Ex. cameral saxophone concert, choir singing, interesting and funny castle tour by night with a passionate guide. Overall highly recommended place to stay for a couple nights.

Quality of dinner dishes didn't match the place standards and should definitely be improved. Every dish we tried was pretty bad except for the trout. Even mulled beer was just a regular beer heated up with no spices or any other ingredients. It was a pitty because waiters were very polite and professional.

Breakfast was ok (from 7am to 10am). Apart from that there is nothing positive that could be mentioned. The location is nice indeed but well ''overmarketed'' by the owners.

The Windows in the room dont have any curtains!!!, old and saggy mattresses. You feel the mattress springs on your body as soon as you sit down on the bed. Plus Ive found the room to be full of mosquitoes. And on top of that they charge extra for the parking but no guarantee you get a free spot anyways. The place is far from how it marketed itself and far away from being a four star establishment. AVOID!

The hotel and spa is located in the beautiful XV century castle. In the large surrounded hotel park there is plenty of room to walk and enjoy natur. Breakfast is available, and tasty. We really enjoyed our stay.
