    Pros +

    • A little tired and not quite up to standards.
    • We’ve stayed here to celebrate our anniversary for the past couple of years. The rooms are excellent and the whole ambiance of the hotel is superb. The restaurant is first class and although not the cheapest is worth every penny. The staff are great and cater for your every need. All in all it is a wonderful place to stay.
    • The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. The building itself was very old, probably hundreds of years old, and the downstairs sitting room and bar were unique in shape a configuration, reminiscent of another time period. The outside gardens and pool is really beautiful and a cool respite from the hot weather. The town is very small with a few restaurants. We only had dinner at the restaurant and not the breakfast. The hotel is very close to Saint Emilion which is a beautiful medieval city worth exploring on foot. It was a good location to make driving trip to Lascaux and Sarlat, both not to be missed.

    Cons -

    • No bar service. No restaurant service. No Lounge service. One young receptionist was quite annoyed by our simple requests. A tray for the parlour, as there were no coasters, was refused. I Wanted to purchase a pool bag and she was quite perturbed! We felt like our presence was disturbing their busy jobs. Perhaps they thought we were American and could treat us rudely, but in Canada this LOGIS would not make the grade. Plus when the gardener saw us coming, he blew all the leaves directly at us with his LOUD blower. Very sad behaviour.
    • We did not feel the meal or service during the dinner at the hotel was comparable at all to other Michelin star restaurants like the nearby La Table de Pavie.
    • Too bad there is no spa! ??

The public rooms are spacious and beautiful. The dining room and the menu are superior.

Too bad there is no spa! ??

Good breakfast, great dinner, all the compliments to the chef and your young head waiter also. Excellent. The location, your building, the service, the gardens, really great. Emilie and Sarah at the reception were very kind and we felt very welcome. Estelle was a very gracious host and her attention to detail and feeling for quality and cosines is visible in everything.

the/ your bistro in town ..is not as good as it could be, the presentation of the dishes is very refined, but you know that it's not hard to eat very well in your region. Taste comes first, before presentation and looks , especially in a bistro. In my opinion

Good breakfast. Felt it should have been included in overall price

A group booking unfortunately rather took over the hotel

beautiful buildings in the heart of the dordogne.

the smoke from chimney was in our bedroom causing my husband to have an asthma attack. we then had to pay 100 euro to get moved rooms.

Beautiful garden, excellent restaurant. Incredible vegetarian tasting menu.

    Closes for the winter.

Le Vieux Logis is a luxury hotel and fully meets expectations. Impeccably adorned rooms, beautiful grounds, and attentive staff are the hallmark. The latter were extraordinary, guiding us through a somewhat difficult predicament.

The beautiful room was a bit small

    10SergePosted on: 8-15-2022

The comfort, the atmosphere - the setting, the grounds - the staff were all excellent, the breakfasts were great, the bistro was good, our dinner on the terrace for our Silver Wedding Anniversary was of the highest standard, worthy of all your Michelin recommendations. Thank you

    8CamillaPosted on: 8-11-2022

Beautiful grounds, very welcoming and friendly staff, and in a lovely town. Great amenities, aircon, products. We felt well looked after. Would recommend for a quiet and cosy stay.

Nothing! The hotel and hotel staff were lovely. Would note that we had dinner on the grounds at the Michelin star restaurant one night - the food was very nice, but the service wasn’t as hospitable as we have had at other fine dining experiences.

    10HarveyPosted on: 7-19-2022

Ok the village is quite small and there is not a lot to see. But the Vieux Logis is simply splendid and worth the cost of the stay. We had a less opulent room but entirely adequate and the grounds are magnificent - dining areas, pool and gardens. The staff is very helpful and attentive. We did not have dinner at the 1 star hotel restaurant as well we are just not into multi-course, multi wine meals, but if that's your thing, the menu with all wines is a real bargain. The petit dejeuner is superb and not to miss. We will come back

    We liked it all
