Hotel De La Mer

Room surpassed our expectations with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. It was spacious and airy. The front desk manager was extremely friendly and helped us with our luggage which was completely unexpected. Breakfast was very nice with the typical choice of pastries, breads, cereals, meats, cheeses and condiments accompanied by fruit, juices, coffee and tea. We were able to park right by the hotel because it was late in the season and we were some of the only tourists there.

I visited this hotel with my sons for a week long holiday in 2025 May. We felt ourselves at home from the very first minute, because the hotel itself is a very old, traditional, historical building with wooden inner structure just like our house in Luxembourg. Our double room had a nice vibe, like travelling inside a boat; we had a splendid, big balcony where nice look-out was possible to the sea and even the Dé' rock. The double room was clean, fresh, with excellent beds, and even the sofa was very comfortable. Despite being a two star hotel, all commodities were present at the room (café machine, glasses, hair dryer, plenty of towels, surplus bed linen, etc.) so we were happy about the rooms. We enjoyed two times the breakfast, but that was all the same, mostly sweet pastry, and it was surprisingly different from our other experience, but not bad at all! Staff is nice and friendly and made possible to fulfill all requests from our side. Worth to mention that plenty of good restaurant are around the hotel. Worth to visit and worth to go back!

Location, character and staff

Location - it's close to and overlooking the marvellous rocks at Tregastel Plage. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. The bathroom is very good - the shower is amazing! The breakfast is generous and substantial. I'd certainly stay there again and would much recommend it.

I liked everything. It was good to be back there.

The hotel is in a great location. We had a superior sea view room, which is just magnificent. Lots of space, amazing views from the panoramic windows. The staff are friendly and helpful. Easy parking nearby. The breakfast is good in a room which also overlooks the lovely beach and rocks.

Fabulous location and sea view from our rooms. The Manger and staff were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts were incrediably generous in choice and quantity.

The third floor had no lift but its not a problem as long as one is aware.

The public phone coverage is limited given that only two of the telephone networks have installed an antenna on the tip of the peninsula but the hotel’s internet network is excellent.

The reception was closed in the middle of the day even though we had messaged ahead with our arrival time.

The location is excellent being beside the sea. Good walks nearby. It has a lift which is a bonus when you reach our age!!

fantastic location with amazing views. Very close to a lovely beach and bars/restaurant. Bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. checkin was easy and the staff were very friendly.

The hotel is need of some renovation and refurbishments. It is has seen better days for sure. It is a pity since the location is fantastic and the hotel could be a lot more than it is at the moment!

A perfect situation almost on the sea front, helpful staff and good facilities.
