    Pros +

    • This was a perfect stay in a beautiful little town. Every detail in this historic building is well thought out. There is very nice outdoor area as well. The town is peaceful with a few shops and bars. There is a little trail right outside the town where you can hike up to a magnificent vista over the village and surrounding fields. The gourmet breakfast is incredible. Laura’s husband is a master baker of pastries. Many cute little towns nearby. Laura recommended a restaurant called Taberna Asador Ochavo, in Sajazarra, a little village 5 minutes away that was excellent. I highly recommend this stay.
    • Structure/Common areas/rooms:Stunning remodeled, centuries old building that had everything we needed. Loved the juxtaposition of old, new with the best of both integrated into the rooms and common areas. The wine cellar was so cool (like “cool man”).As a serial remodeler, I felt humbled by what the owners/managers were able to accomplish! The common areas both inside and out encouraged you to linger, lovely, fresh and beautifully decorated. Our room was large, king size bed with a twin which a Nice touch. Bathroom was large, everything worked wonderfully.Highly recommended.
    • Everything was perfect, nice room, incredible breakfast....definetively, nice people !

    Cons -

    • The check in/check out process was a little unclear, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer!
    • Nothing really
    • Bad value for money. We stayed in a different accommodations during our trip and in general we got much more or the same for the same amount of money. As well the breakfast was not as good as we expected. No eggs and very little salty options for breakfast.

Everything about our stay was excellent! From the staff to the property right in the middle of town, such a quaint and beautiful hotel, and great recommendations from staff on local spots to eat, tour, and drink! Can’t recommend it enough! Best way to do Rioja.

The check in/check out process was a little unclear, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer!

Everything, the hosts, the rooms, the food, the area, the history of the place, the amazing building. Amazing family that have an immense passion and love for their hotel and welcoming families and travelers. We were fortunate to have known them and stayed in their “house”

    Nothing really

Nice accommodation, the building in history, used to be a theatre and cinema. The rooms are nice and spacious. The property has a nice outside garden.

Bad value for money. We stayed in a different accommodations during our trip and in general we got much more or the same for the same amount of money. As well the breakfast was not as good as we expected. No eggs and very little salty options for breakfast.

This hotel is so unique, every room is different but charming. Staying here is special experience itself, we would highly recommend it. Laura and her husband are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful. The breakfast were excellent and you can choose whether to eat inside or in the lovely patio. The price is modest.

    We loved everything.

Laura and Jose are outstanding hosts. We did their Saturday dinner which was excellent. Beautiful historic building.

    10MartinPosted on: 7-2-2024

Very friendly staff, informative and helpful. The entire hotel is furnished with great style and attention to detail. The building was previously used as a theatre and this is reflected in the furnishings and touches all over the building. Our room was outstanding. A really large double, freestanding bath in the room, very comfortable bed. Loved the honesty bar, really well stocked with wine maintained at correct temperatures via use of a number of different wine fridges. Beer, soft drinks etc also available.Location of the hotel in the centre of a beautiful village, very peaceful. There was a well appointed garden, great to chill-out with a book and bottle of wine.Breakfasts were excellent.

Can't imagine how this can be improved.

Fabilous room in an old cinema in the heart of La Rioja wine regiion.José, the owner and wife Laura made us very welcome & serve a lovely home made set menu dinner.

No tea or coffee facilities in the room..

The hotel was a beautiful historic building with very tasteful decor and services. Lovely large room and very helpful staff. Based in a beautiful village right in the square.

Hit my head a few times on the shopping beams in the room.

    9KathyPosted on: 5-25-2024

The hotel was a gem in a quaint town that did not offer much in the way of shopping or restaurants. We were however fortunate to be there on April 27th for the local Wine Festival that included a wine train that transported you to 5 local wineries for tasting and pinchos folllowed by a street fair with music in the town square. Susanna, our host, provided us with information about the festival. The hotel itself sports a movie theme with rooms decorated by movie genres. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Street parking was free and just a couple of blocks away from the hotel.

    Location, cleanliness, style, breakfast, food.

We booked a junior delux suite that said it had a balcony but it didn't even have a window that you could look out of, just two velux and a high window

Great location in the centre of a beautiful Spanish village. Room was interestingly decorated rather than the standard hotel roomBreakfast was great with a different featured cooked item each day. Convenient parking. Friendly host and staff. Would return.

Wonderful helpful hosts who with their enthusiasm for Rioja region made some wonderful suggestions to make our stay a memorable visit. We had the pleasure of enjoying a superb evening meal by proprietor chef Jose it’s a experience not to be missed, breakfast was great with attention to detail and accommodated my food intolerances of non dairy and gluten free ,we will certainly return. The boutique hotel has a quirky theme of theatre which adds to the ambience each room having a unique theme, decoration throughout is immaculate .

    Everything was superb

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, so very clean, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, the honesty bar is a great idea! The building is full of history and the glass floor is amazing! Honestly the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed! The bath in the bedroom was a delight, very romantic place to stay. Bonus being it’s about an hour and a bit drive from Santander and Bilbao ports! Definitely hoping to return one day.

The hotel is a family run operation, and the service was very personal & very warm. We truly felt like welcome guests. We had the 4 course dinner in the restaurant & it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing! They're doing great and we will stay there again.

The location is not the best, it's a long way from the motorway, especially when you're traveling between countries, but the place, right in the heart of Rioja, the welcome and the gastronomy, make you forget the detour to get there. We had to leave before the normal breakfast service time and they took care to prepare breakfast for us early so that we wouldn't leave without eating. Very friendly and generous. Call it hospitality

Just the detour, distance from the motorway , but that is impossible to change!!

Gorgeous little spot with loads of history, stylish rooms and a lovely balcony

The see through toilet doors were a bit disconcerting!
