The sound-proofed rooms at La Ferme du Lac are serviced by a elevator and feature a flat screen TV and free WiFi. Some rooms have a private balcony or terrace. The hotel, restaurant and all rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The property offers a Cycling Label in order to offer a suitable welcome to cycling holidaymakers. A buffet breakfast is served each morning at an extra cost. There is also a restaurant on site, Au Vieux Chalet Restaurant is open Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner, featuring a menu of fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but we’d be happy to recommend some great places to eat in the area. Located in the Haute-Savoie region, in the Alps, the hotel is 40 minutes from Geneva Airport, and a 5-minute drive from the A40 Motorway. Morillon Ski Resort is a 20-minute drive away. Free private parking is available on site. Our hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to climb some of the famous passes on the Route des Grandes Alpes, such as La Colombière, La Ramaz, Les Aravis, Joux-Plane, etc. We are also located on the Route des Grandes Alpes.

- Lovely little hotel - personal and friendly service. Clean and well presented …. Lovely thick towels. Nothing to dislike.
- Excellent ambience/helpful when I couldn’t reach booking.com on the phone ( I’m not sure I am confident in using this company again as I got scammed due to not being able to contact !) hotel was so kind / amazing menu - we will be back but will book direct next time ( not impressed “ booking.com” very sad about this losing confidence in you with so much fraud out there to trick your clients !)
- Cosy chalet feel
Cons -
- Nothing absolutely nothing - a real gem
- The log burner wasn’t lit although the photos on website showed cosy sitting room with log burner. Not all the chairs were comfortable to lounge on either.
- The shower screen leaked in our room(allowing water underneath, seal wasn’t effective). No major problem, but could be dangerous if someone didn’t realise and slipped on the floor. Parking is opposite the hotel on the other side of the road - it would have been helpful to have an obvious sign as you drive up.

Conveniently located for our trip. It was cosy inside and the room was clean. Food at the restaurant was excellent. The reaction staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.

Apart from the difficulty with the closed restaurant it was a spacious, comfortable and lovely hotel
The restaurant was closed and it was very difficult to find a suitable place to eat.
Nice hotel, located in a beautiful place. Near ski resorts
Poor room soundproof. We could hear the other guests on the corridor talking and opening/closing their doors
Good location, clean and well maintained rooms
Breakfast wasn’t included
Very clean and secure parking
The breakfast was a bit of a letdown no bread for toast
Very comfortable, clean hotel with beautiful veranda views. I had my dog with me and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great place for a pet stay.
The hotel was very nice and conveniently located but the downside was that the restaurant was closed when n we arrived. It wasn’t mentioned on the website and we especially booked a hotel with a restaurant as after 12 hours of driving we wanted to have nice dinner without having to move anywhere else. Breakfast was very nice though.
Wonderful helpful staff, very nice well fitted room, great restaurant and all in all everything was excellent
All was good
Good room, clean and location ok.
Disappointed to drive 30 mins to find a restaurant as the restaurant onsite was closed - we were notified of this outside of the cancellation period. Left with no choice but to drive to another venue to eat otherwise it would have cost us.
Room fine though a little small, breakfast fine and very standard
We arrived on Sunday. The hotel was unattended since lunchtime, and searching through our papers we found that an access code was required, which fortunately I found. Some other travellers booked through an agency so didn't have their access codeAlso, being Sunday, the restaurant was closed. As were the 30 (yes THIRTY) other French restaurants within a short drive. So, we settled for a burger in a US-themed bar with very loud C&W music. Not pleased to be forced to have a burger in Haute Savoie when we were hoping for a special meal !You'd think a 4* hotel could manage to provide a receptionist & find a half-decent meal for its residents
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were Skiing, it was within 30 minutes of lots of places.
Breakfast was really nice, the room was spacious and comfortable.Few steps away from a nice lake with a great restaurant.
Shame restaurant is close in August would have like to dine there
Excellent breakfast. Wide selection of high quality produce
Front door was tricky to figure out for a thicko like me.
Nice traditional chalet overlooking the green hills. really friendly staff
lovely wooden building
no staff on a Sunday (but that seems standard)
lovely building, staff and bed. plenty of parking and great restaurant
Very good adress for people looking for intermediate stay on the way to Italy.Better stay another day to visit the splendid Haute Savoie nature nearby.
Avoid a stay on official public our religious free day in this region of France. No restaurant is open nearby or even in the hotel. Only at Morzine restaurants are still open. We got message before arrival from hotel that restaurant would be closed on 6 june, but even when we arrived on 5 june, restaurant was closed anyway. We got another room because of missing fridge, code for entrance was changed next day without previous info. It's a very nice hotel with perfect location and big potential, but it's a pitty the daily management is a bit messy..
