    Pros +

    • Lovely staff and lovely reception for the guests. Very clean and cozy rooms. Very nice and well equipped bathroom. Location is great.
    • We only stayed one night, but what a lovely place, traditional style buildings were beautiful. Large room with comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. We enjoyed a great German style dinner in their restaurant, with a couple of beers and local red wine. Parking on site, nice breakfast with lovely, friendly staff.
    • Wonderful hotel with a great rustic flair. Super friendly english speaking staff. Delicious food and gluten- free options.

    Cons -

    • Can get a bit noisy due to the squeaky floors. Sometimes it felt like elephants were running above us. But considering that the building is 400 years old, this is understandable in the end. Considering the lovey reception and the super nice staff, this negative can be excused.
    • Was a great stay.
    • I didn't sleep very well here - I had a slanted ceiling above my head, but there was also a very small pillow.

Location, friendly staff, lovely historic building and courtyard where you can eat. Beautifully decorated authentic rooms. Lovely village and walking along the river, with Wurtzburg nearby a very beautiful town. Great quality food on location.

A hotel in a pleasant location near the river Main - it has its own genius loci. Parking is good here. Nice and friendly staff. Comfortable even for pets. Second floor rooms may be more difficult to access. Breakfast simple but very good.

I didn't sleep very well here - I had a slanted ceiling above my head, but there was also a very small pillow.

A beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff.

It would be helpful to have tea and coffee making facilities but we managed to get a kettle from Reception!

The staff were exceptional. And as dog owners this was the first hotel that is actually dog friendly. Dog chews and blankets in the room.

Lovely period building.Walled Beer GardenFelt relaxed on our first Holiday Evening, enjoying good food and tasty wine.

Extremely nice and helpful staff both in the evening and in the morning. Great breakfast, beautiful location. Thank you again. Unfortunately the guests in the neighbouring room arrived late at night and didn't consider others already sleeping, while the other room had a snoring occupant who left the TV on for the night. Given the not so thick walls, this was terrible. Also, the phone numbers left at the reception weren't picked up when I called. That could be improved.

Loved the location, loved the architecture of the hotel and restaurant. Breakfast and dinners were exceptional. They had liveMusic playing one night and the band was exceptional. It really added to our stay. Parking was inside a courtyard. River was across the street and was easy to walk to. WiFi very strong in our room. We will be back.

    Everything was perfect.

nice location, lovely old building that has been very nicely maintained. Good value for money.

our room looked out on to a wall and had no view but it didn’t detract from the stay.
