Jegtvolden Fjordhotell

We arrived late in the evening (pos 11 pm) and they were very friendly offering us an alternative check-in.The bedroom was big and with wonderful views of the fjord. However the comfort of the bed was what we like the most! We had an amazing sleep!!!Breakfast very complete and with nice views.The hotel is wonderful. It has a mix between the traditional Norwegian hotel and modern furniture. The garden is amazing! We recommend you to spend some time having a walk! We wish we could stay longer!!!

Everything was perfect!!!They could maybe offer fruits for breakfast buffet.

Quiet, secluded position. Spacious and a beer was available on arrival. The outlook from the garden was lovely. The automated lawnmowers were fascinating! Breakfast had a good choice. Parking for our motorcycles, felt safe/secluded.

We had our evening meal in the restaurant - although a limited menu, it was well cooked and well presented.

The grounds were absolutely lovely. The staff in the restaurant were super helpful.

Since we were there in the summer it was quite bright and the room did not have block out curtains. With two small children it was very hard to get them to fall asleep when it was so bright in our room. The room seemed like a hodge-podge of furniture when we arrived. Beds where shoved to the side of the room to make way for the baby beds, which was fine, but it lost some of the niceness of staying in a room prepared for you to stay in.

Friendly staff, good food, good selection of local beer. The room well all I can say I WHAT A VIEW I HAD..... Good shower, TV and a proper kettle.

What's not to like.....?

Great breakfast, nice location and staff.

The room was a let down. The main light in the room did not work. When I arrived there was no light bulb. When I informed the staff of this they offered to change the room, but I said it would be okay if they installed a bulb the next morning, no problem - they would. Around midmorning I asked again for a bulb, and they said someone would come with it. Someone came, but not with a bulb, but to tell me that the electricity was faulty and the light did not work. They offered a new room, but by that time I had no time for a room change as I was getting ready for a wedding. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to do my make up, as the light in the bathroom was too dim. The drain in the shower was somewhat clogged, so I ended up with water all over the bathroom floor. I had to use all the towels to dry the floor. This was room 05. Not worth the price of the room. I understand that faults may occure in rooms, but there should be better communication between the staff about the state of the rooms. If I knew that the light was faulty, not just missing a bulb, I would have changed rooms when I first talked to the front desk staff.

Breakfast…. The best breakfast what we had, thats for sure ! Dinner also was excellent, those people know how and what to do with food !!

Seems like it’s a not so easy for stuff to give a smile, or say hello. Also, one of the most upsetting things was, that in such a great Hotel wasn’t prepared at least one small bottle of water in our rooms. Small things that’s needed to improve..!

We missed a more homely atmosphere.The waiter was very friendly, but inexperienced:the winebottle was not opened at the table andno initial tasting was offered (the wine was good)

It was a very nice place with pretty view, it's really nice rooms for dogs with door to the outside in the rooms.

Quiet, beautiful view, big TV, nice bed, good bathroom, excellent breakfast, cute garden!

Everything!We booked this stay late in the evening as we had rented a small place for 3 days that was totally not OK!When we arrived the staff was very friendly and checked for a perfect room as we requested some space for our little puppy.We got heared and got a ground floor where our puppy could easily get out whenever needed.For all the rest all was great! Great room, good location, nice breakfast, clean rooms, ...

The location was nice

No service on my last night Sunday I returned to the hotel at 11:00pm and the main door where lock and there was no one at the front desk. I had to call someone starting who came and let me in.

Missing black out curtains in the room, too bright from 4 in the morning during summer ?

The staff and location of the hotel is just amazing. The preorder dinner was really good. The variety of wine and local beers was absolutely fantastic

Not much to say

Location was great. Room was ok, bathroom was a bit old. Also breakfast could have been a bit better but overall very happy

The receptionist and chef were exceptionally kind. The room and location and hotel were superb, it was a pleasure to walk in the grounds to the jetty and the view was beautiful. The hotel was in a quiet location and was well maintained.

Service in the dining hall for dinner was like Faulty Towers.Almost comical to see 6 people fail at serving just 5 tables.Our food was great - but a long wait for menu’s, a long gap in between courses and the table next to us were asked 4 times what they had ordered…Our rooms were clean, but basic. Exceptionally hot with no fan or aircon.

Location and property are wonderful. Very friendly staff and good food.

Room interior was a bit outdated but very clean.
