Amazing food, location, view and facilities are great.
Senja has blown our minds! Such a beautiful place. We were the only guests staying there but still the owner (or maybe not the owner but the one who has made us feel so welcome) made sure that everything was taken care of. He cooked the meals himself (delicous!) and showed us the Norwegian way of life. Also he had the best tips for spotting the Nothern Lights and even got out the come find us one evening when the Northern Lights were so clearly visible in all their colours; one night to remember (i'm even getting emtional while writing this, an absolute bucket list moment). The setting of Senja Fjordhotell is absolutely great en idyllic.
Friendly staff.Lovely comfy bed with nice view and peaceful location.Very good breakfast. Hope to return sometime in the summer. Thank you
The hotel was very cosy and the rooms were comfortable. There was also a lounge room, which was very nice to enjoy the view! The food at dinner and breakfast was very fresh and delicious, hats off to the chef! The nature around though, is the true and main attraction, even with very snowy and windy conditions, the nature is just breathtaking. If you're lucky, you might even bump into a reindeer or two! I highly recommend staying.
Staff are super nice. Bf felt sick, and they provided lots of kind attention and help. The room is spacious and clean. Nice view from the room and hotel.close to the bus stop. Clear instruction on how to get there and local activities on their website.Remote from everything, so its nice to stay there to enjoy the nature or yourself.
inconvenient when traveling with public transportation.
Everything was just Amazing! Sauna, Whirpool, Location + Amazing Food in the Restaurant. Beautiful view and very clean rooms. Straight 10/10
Great view from the room. Owner is very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast options are a bit limited but regardless it was delicious. Thank you.
We loved the hotel so much! It was perfect for one night stay in October. The room we got had big windows to the sea. Unfortunately it was too clouded to see the northern lights from our room but it would definitely be possible. Also we love the common room with board games and comfy chairs. Had some tea there to chill.Hotel was pretty calm, not many guests, which we really enjoyed. We had dinner at the hotel at it was good, nothing out of the ordinary.Breakfast was very good, with many options to choose from.Staff was very friendly as well.Would for sure stay again and recommend.
Well, theres not much to do within walking distance, its pretty much the hotel only.If theres a way of reaching the hotel without a car it seems to me its probably not the easiest. We had a car so it was fine for us. Of course this is what makes the hotel perfect as well, not many people/tourists around. But if you are looking for a more busy place its not it.We had dinner at the hotel because it was more or less the only option we had. Theres also a supermarket you can drive to (I guess around 15min drive) but if its closed or you want more of a restaurant than the hotel is the only option. One suggestion would be to make the parking signs more clear, what we thought were the hotel parking spots were more or less full so we had to park at some other ones that we are not sure were right. But we didn´t have a fine or anything, we were just not so sure of where it was possible to park.I consider all of the above just details, it definitely did not harm our stay which was very super nice :)
Nice location, easy to get to other local places to enjoy nature. Nice hiking routes in the neighbourhood. The hotel is very comfortable, rooms are big and the personal is fantastic. Would stay there again without any doubts.
Perfect location, quiet and remote. The restaurant was really good, they accommodated vegan option for us, and had really good wine. Staff was very polite and helpful. Will recommend this place to everyone, we also caught a glimpse of aurora borealis even when it was rainy.
A new offering - that focusses on fishing. Feels new without being clinical. Easy access for those with mobility problems. Not a destination in its own right.....
Very limited car charging - Oddly placed sauna - almost in the car park - completely missing the view
Location is great!Breakfast was great.
Room window was above or at least very close to the exaust of the kitchen it seemed?
The Senja Fjordhotel is a tucked away in the extreme south of the island on the shores of a small fjord. Its very modern as only built 5-6 years ago so was very comfortable with high end fittings. The room was plenty big for both of us and had a nice dual aspect view over the fjord and small boat jetty. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Its a small boutique type hotel and the staff vere very friendly and professional and gave some good tips on local activities. Breakfats each morning was excellent as was the evening dinner. The beauty of the location is that the only thing to do is enjoy nature, we got in some swims and hike in the national park so really enjoyed our three days there
We were there during a very hot period and the room got warm without central AC. We were able to open the window, use the fan and the automatic blinds also helped a lot so not uncomfortable. This is common in Norway and not a fault of the hotel as nobody expected such warm temperatures!
The room was clean but a little small. Breakfast can be improved. Restaurant for dinner was good!
Quiet neighbourhood. Hotel is close to the water.
Location is far away from the most beautiful part of Senja and its best hikes. TV did not work in other room.
Great location nice clean facilities
Rooms were hot
Wonderful lovely and friendly staff, very flexible people, outside surroundings were beautiful, great breakfast, could charge our electric car
Air conditioning didn't work
