- This was not our first time at the property, and it won't be our last. We usually get rooms 20-21, which have a bathroom in common and fit a family of four perfectly. The lady at reception was very nice to put some complimentary water to cool in the room fridge before our arrival: it was scorching outside!Breakfast is fantastic: the cakes are legendary and deserve a special mention, as does the lady who makes them!The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. We always have a lovely time in this hotel.

- Next time I'll ask how to change the setting for the air conditioning: it was set on 23 degrees and way too low for us. But that's on us for not checking before!We checked in with a very kind lady in the afternoon and then went out to see friends, coming back quite late at night to find two gentlemen in plain clothes sitting at a table in the lobby. One of them left the other at the table and rushed to stop me on my way to the room to ask me to settle payment then and there. This was no issue of course, and we complied, except we did not know who this gentleman was (I still don't) and found the interaction slightly distressing. There was no reason not to take payment upon checking in, and there would not have been any reason not to take payment upon checking out. Also, quite important to identify yourself as a member of staff when dealing with guests.Parking can be challenging near the hotel and it's probably easier to park a few minutes away and walk a little, if you can.

Very modern and comfortable in a historic setting.
A few things did not work (AC, fridge). not a single glass in the room.
Good sized room and nicely decorated, but it's a little tired. The lights were very complicated - we had to ask for help to turn them off! Big and very comfy bed. Historic building. Very short walk to the seafront. Good breakfast. We found free on-street parking nearby.
Needs a little TLC and is a tad expensive for what you get, compared to other hotels we stayed in in Sicily. Sant'Agata is clearly a summer destination and felt a bit 'out of season' when we were there.
Beautiful little town. Staff was very accommodating of our group of 10.
