Haus Bürchnerhof

Booked last minute after discharge from hospital in Visp. Super friendly personnel, late dinner and dessert no problem, helped me out with toothbrush/ toothpaste kit, yummy breakfast with good jam, yoghurt, lots of bread choices and good meats/cheese. Loaned me a charger for the phone!

My room was a bit dated, but everything worked perfectly.

I travelled alone in Summer, for hiking tours. Got an excellent room with balcony without too much sight (which did not matter). A good location for robust hiking people. Breathtaking landscapes and views, up to 3000m. In Winter: Close to transporting installations (not operational in summer). Excellent breakfast.

Restaurant in the house is somewhat expensive; not many alternatives nearby, Spa is no longer available, never mind. My (admittedly low cost) room was against the kitchen fan across, not ideal to spend a cozy moment on the balcony in the evening.

Very nice, obliging and friendly hosts, great breakfast, spotless facilities, beautiful location with scenic hikes up the hill behind the hotel. Recommended for couples who like the quiet, natural environment and walking, and have their own car to get here.

Everything, firstly the staff were so friendly and helpful. The views are breath taking, the food was fabulous! I loved every minute of it ?

Small scale hotel up in the mountains with very friendly staff, a very nice restaurant and breakfast. Listening to cowbells while falling asleep in the evening.

Traditional Swiss style chalet. We stayed in the apartment which was homely and comfortable. Family run, lovely friendly people. Delicious dinner & breakfast in a gorgeous location.

The hotel has a bit of a strange layout and not so friendly for people who rely on elevators. I am not sure if there are any.

Welcoming and helpful attitude in all ways. Loved the pool and sauna and especially appreciated the extra touches offered when celebrating a special birthday dinner.

The owners are just great. The provided me with all help I needed (earlier breakfast, advice etc.). The hotel is located in beautiful location just next to the bus station which takes you to Visp. The sauna and pool are great and views amazing. Restaurant serves delicious dishes.

Very friendly staff. Delicious food in the restaurant. Breakfasts in the best traditions of Switzerland. And all this is complemented by an incredibly beautiful view of the mountains.

I liked the view and breakfast

we booked the confort double room based on photos on booking website. we got very old worn out room. Bed sheets very super faded and looked at least ten years old. room was really old. when we complained to the owner’s wife she was very rude at first and said that this is one of her nicest rooms with very arrogant voice. the bath supplies very half empty which gave again unpleasant experience. i never was mislead by photos advertised in booking for over ten years and this was very unpleasant experience. in hallway was a super loud wending machine which worked all the time making crazy noise.they are plenty of nice places around and I would never recommend this one.

Lovely comfortable room and very clean. The bedding was of particular good quality. The restaurant has a great menu and even better wine list. I really enjoyed my weekend and left very relaxed. The views are killer as well!

It would have been nice to have the information in the rooms in French as well as German. But Google translate helped me there.
