Hotel Simancas

This is a great motel for a road trip stop. It is located right on the highway at a service stop. It has a cafe with tapas that are fine for a quick bite. There is also a restaurant but it was closed during our stay. The rooms are soundproofed from the road nice and small but comfortable for a day or tow. It is a quick drive into Tordesillas, Simancas, or even Valldolid.

I wish the restaurant had been open. I wish the room door was a little more sound proofed as we could hear the other guests coming and going in the corridor.

We did not see the town so not that much to like. We did like the Castle Simancas. The hotel was near the castle, which made it good for my research goals.

The food was less than standard - but then we are Americans - The mixed salad was good with the vinegar and oil dressing - but the entrees were less than pleasing.

Convenient for through travel to Santander, friendly enough, too short a stay to really comment but would use again.

Touch warm in the room and no a/c controller but we are all different!

The mattress needs replacing, we kept falling into the middle and with a little extra care/skill the restarant food could have been better still using the same ingredients.

Brilliant location friendly helpful staff clean and bright rooms we stay there at least twice a year during our stay in Spain we would stay anywhere else

Nothing not too like

I stayed at this hotel prior years but this year was disapointing. Shall not use again.

Sink plug missing. Bedside table missing. No restaurant service - only TAPAS

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful.Room and hotel clean and bright, I liked the artwork.

The pillows, it was one booster pillow and it was too hard.

Great for a one night stop-over, the hotel is next to the highway but the room is quiet.

Small room, good for 1 night but not if you want to stay for longer.

The poor attention to the previous resident hairs, there were hair all over the bedroom and the bathroom.

very central to our needs, staff brilliant, have stay here before and will continue to do so. Have already booked for our return journey

Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff

bed was very uncomfortable particularly the pillow very hard. Hardly got any sleep. Also walls not insulated for noise and could hear quite clearly people in adjoining room.

Situation, near to road but not noisy - requested and received quiet room. Ample parking.

The lady Tanya she was called very helpful and happy.The quality of the furnishings in the room were excellent. The walk in shower was very spacious as I am an xxxL size.Will stay again....

Location excellent - on main road. Good access for disabled. Reception helpful over connecting wi fi.Staff friendly and efficient. Quiet despite being located on main route.

Batteries air conditioning remote flat. Could not turn on.

The food was exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
