Breakfast was too little. Came around 10. No eggs, no omelet, no bacon was left, We were waiting for 20 min to get them.
We reserved our whole stay at the Egles Villa, but on the first night of our stay there was a wedding and we were kindly offered to stay at Ziedu Villa which is located at the other part of the complex, near the lake. Both the Ziedu Villa and Egles Villa exceeded our expectations.Breakfast was so plentiful, we barely needed any food until dinner :) All the staff that we came in contact with was kind, forthcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the SPA, the atmosphere around the complex, the free transfer between the parts of the Resort and the cat Silva who you can see in one of the photos.
Nothing to mention here, everything was great!
Great hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. Beautiful area. amazing staff. AND BREAKFAST! Simply beyond praise, worthy of 5* in the center of a European city. I recommend it.
They don't check in late at night. But thanks to the help of the staff, we resolved this issue. Our number was not immediately found.
It is third time we stay in Egle villa, and this year were positively surprised by renovation. It was nice and comfortable before, but now inside it’s like real Italian palazzo. Interiors, design, paintings of Italy. In our room we had fantastic hand crafted furniture. Breakfast amazing as usually- wide choice of seasonal veggies and fruits, hot breakfast at your choice.
Everything just great!
The scenery, the cleanliness, the facilities, the breakfast
I had to check in myself and couldn’t reach by phone the reception when I was checking in.
Staff means the most in this business and here staff is very good - friendly, responsive, hospitable.
Great place for a romantic weekend!Friendly staff, comfy room, good breakfast. Not far from the main resort as well as from Daugavpils
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean rooms with air conditioning, comfy beds. Small supermarket nearby. Just around 4km away is lake side resort where we spent all the afternoon away from the city (swimming, enjoying fresh air, and happy kids)
Breakfast was good.
It’s a very badly managed hotel. First, there are two hotels that start with the same name - Silene Resort & Spa and Silene Resort & Spa Egles Villa. So when you book you are thinking that your will be staying in a spa hotel but in reality it is a hotel in the middle of the Silene village without any spa, restaurant or immediate access to the lake. Of course this is NOT communicated to customers before. The hotels have the same owner but are at least 5 km apart! We could not check in as there was nobody at Egle villa (despite showing 24|7 reception), even the given phone number was not working, had to call the resort. Had to wait until someone comes from the resort to get to the room. Also, they did not want to serve breakfast in the same building despite saying that there is a restaurant. It would be acceptable if this was communicated before that breakfast is in another building but not if they just present it as a fact. We negotiated breakfast in the same building, other guests could benefit from it but they were not even informed. The bed was of a very bad quality. No fridge in the room, no tea/coffee possibilities. Very low quality service except by the lady serving breakfast. The dinner in the resort was Ok but there you have to pay for everything, even parking in the middle of forest is 5 eur. Renting prices of sports equipment are totally unacceptable e.g. 20 eur for a volleyball court for 1 h. We talked to a lady that had stayed in the place before and confirmed that it has always been a mess and nobody cares about customers there. I had asked for the contacts of the manager, of course I never received them. Definitely NOT a 4* hotel.
Very clean and comfortable
There is no breakfast at location. You need to drive around 10 minutes by car to the main Silene resort to get breakfast. Quite challenging logistics when you are with small kids.
Very friendly service with a good breakfast. The staff did everything for comfort. A nice beach within walking distance.
Comfortable, clean, cosy, personal was very friendly. I recommend this place.
I liked everything there including food, facilities, interior. It was clean and lovely hotel
In this region, this is actually one of the best SPA centers (but when you have no competitors, you begin to relax). And the nature around the Spa Center is very beautiful (but this is not their merit). There is an Italian wine shop next to the hotel. Sommelier Alexander is the best employee with whom we had the opportunity to communicate during these two days. He contributed at least 50% of our positive mood this weekend.Great breakfast.I really liked the hotel’s creative approach to increasing its own booking rating. If you look at the reviews, you will see Victor, who this summer alone left more than 10 reviews out of 10 without any comments...apparently a loyal regular visitor. :)
Upon arrival, we learned that both restaurants that are there - host weddings. And no one can feed us, come back later. The only option is to go to the store and buy yourself something to eat. A great option - isn't it?Arriving at the Spa at the time of reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes. Since the visitors before us took a very long time to change their clothes and dry their hair. But according to the usual tradition - our visiting time ended on time, as the next visitors arrived. :)The cleanliness of the spa area leaves much to be desired. This is, of course, the fault of the visitors, since it is clear that they use the same shoes in which they came from the street and do not want to wash properly in the shower. But the staff's job is to keep an eye on it and clean it up.There is clearly not enough staff. The employee is both a massage therapist and an administrator. (The worker is good, but he physically cannot do everything on time). When we were finally able to get into the restaurant - (after 21, having reserved a table in advance) - we learned that we could only eat outside on the terrace, because there was still a wedding going on in the restaurant. (when we reserved a table, they forgot to warn us about this). Therefore, after visiting the spa (after the sauna and with a wet head), we had to enjoy a late dinner in the cool September air. :(The waitress tried very hard to somehow rectify this situation (she was great), but she had to start by listing a long list of dishes and drinks that had run out.The food was brought quite quickly, which rather indicates a large amount of food had been prepared earlier. Since the pizza (which cannot be prepared in advance) was served last, after the meat dishes. But the food was delicious - thanks to the chefs for that.In the morning, we spent a long time looking for personnel who could tell us exactly how much we need to pay for visiting the spa.
We like that place Great customer service Food is very testyBreakfast excellent Sure, want to visit again that hotel and restaurant but not spa
Not recommend spa
Excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious and soundproof, so you don’t hear other guests. Windows have mosquito nets. There is a lake within a walking distance where you can go for a swim. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very professional.
Breakfast was the best of our stay.
Both restaurants were not serving guests as they had a wedding to cater to, no alternative was offered. The spa had to be booked well ahead and the TV was not English operational. Abit sorry we stayed here.
