Baglio Caruana Cantina & Relais

The property was beautiful and the partners-owners were friendly and so so helpful. The property is also a winery so the dinner we had upon arrival, was paired with their house wines. It was UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! It could easily be a Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was all home made and fresh. The wines, both reds and whites, were top notch. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

The pool is really beautiful and the surrounding vineyards and countryside are lovely. It's in a good location to reach great beaches, food, and a cool, small archeology site. The breakfast was magnificent! The sauna was great. The staff washed my clothes, as I was 1/2 way through my trip with limited clothing, and they did a fantastic job.

There is construction taking place, so the entrance seemed chaotic, and it was unclear where to go upon arrival. I didn't get the room I booked and was put in a room without any private outdoor porch. Instead, I was put next to the B&B office in a room with a badly leaking shower and poorly working AC. The host didn't speak any English even though the listing on Booking.com said English was spoken. The host didn't use a translator (luckily, I had one that I used with him later) and gave me instructions in Italian for the room and facilities before I was connected to wifi, so I couldn't use my translator and had no idea what was said.I would say that the host was the least friendly and the least accommodating on my two-week trip in Sicily. The host really seemed only interested in the guests there for the wine tasting. I would say that I really felt unwelcome. And, the hot tub was cold.

Perfect location for relaxing by the pool with lovely views any time of day. Closeproximity to southern sights and half day trips. Lovely beach with restaurant within minutes! Staff are warm and helpful. Wine is superb.

Charming gem for relaxation and proximity to beach and local sights. Amazing pool and scenic views. Fabulous breakfast. Exceptional wines. Lovely staff. Highly recommend. We are excited to return again at the end of our travels in Sicily.

We chose to stay here for 3 nights after a week in a villa in Trapani with a large family group. We needed somewhere tranquil and relaxing to allow us to recover! The Baglio Caruana met our requirements perfectly. We stayed in the “new” rooms offset from the main building. These were spacious and comfortable and had panoramic windows and a patio with a wonderful view over vineyards and hills. The host Bernina and husband Roberto looked after us well from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was an experience in itself, though you will need a sweet tooth to fully enjoy it. The restaurant was only open on our last night. Not sure if this was because it was the start of the Easter Holy Week, or not, but no problem for us. We were served a delicious set menu of mostly vegetarian, Sicilian influenced dishes accompanied by very good wines produced at the hotels own vineyards. On the other 2 nights we ate at a local restaurant a short drive away on the beach at Bovo Marina. The one detraction which we would alert people too is that at the time of our stay (April 2025) there was ongoing renovation of part of the main building, and repairs to pathways in front of the new rooms resulting in a bit of a trip hazard. We did not find this a problem ourselves as the location more than made up for it.

I had such a wonderful time here! The place is beautiful and peaceful, and the staff were truly lovely, kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. I was traveling alone, and they made me feel completely safe and supported. They even recommended great places to visit and helped me organize my trip. The breakfast was delicious, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which made it easy to work during my stay. I definitely want to come back one day. Thank you to everyone who hosted me and made my stay so special!

A gem in a beautiful spot near the Temple valley! Delicious wines and wonderful people in a lovely estate!

We loved their wine!! Great pool and sauna! The breakfast was fabulous, so many different choices, egg dishes, baked goods, fruits and juices and a double Americano coffee and their Cappucino's were were just the right size! The owners are absolutely the kindest and so helpful! The winery dog, Autu, we wanted to take home with us, he was so sweet and fun! The location is close to the beach driving and beautiful scenic views from the balcony. The room was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. We wanted to take back 6 bottles of wine, the owners were ontop of it and packaged it securely so we could put it in our suitcase to fly home with it, we made it home with not one bottle broken! The pool was an infinity pool, no lip, water pours over the side and was big enough for swimming laps. We would definitely stay here again and wished we had booked it for longer!

We were expecting the hot tub to be hot, it's actually room temperature and I'm sure feels great in the middle of summer and it does feel great if you just got out of the sauna! When the temperature cools off outside, nice to have a hot real hot tub.

Room was beautiful and very large.

Somewhat remote location. Never could get air conditioning to work and we always came in late to ask for help. Some kind of centipede was present that we had to dispose of. Shower was so slick that you had to be extremely careful. Eggs were cold at breakfast and the least choices for our breakfast.

Stunning! Wonderful location and facilities. Excellent place to stay to explore local beaches. The couple who ran it were charming.

The only niggle was the plumbing from the room above was very very noisy .. you could hear everything from the toilet and shower above!

The whole experience was amazing. We spent the first three nights of our honeymoon here and it was perfect - from the tour of the winery to the amazing dinner and beautiful views, this is a place we surely hope to come back to on some anniversary.

Beautiful buildings and grounds. The hospitality including the food, wine and staff was exceptional. Within a 10 minute drive to an awesome swimming beach is a bonus. Come for a day ….. and stay for a week. :)

Great welcoming hosts, fun wine tour, delicious dinner and wonderful breakfast.Nice location, close to a nice beach and to major historic sites.

The property is located near grape fields that make a special atmosphere for escaping holidays in relaxing mode. The stuff is very gentle especially the owners Benina and Roberto, they were very happy to help us with everything that we needed .Very good choice for breakfast with very fresh and tasty meals.You can also participate in tasting of local wine produced in the place with a dinner included classic Sicilian dishes.The view near swimming pool was amazing.

I would like stay longer but vacation ends so fast

I was extremely disappointing. Pictures of the property are misleading. Nothing is finished in the rooms, it is not an issue per se but when it is a question of security because the sockets are open and you cannot even plug anything in the socket because it disconnectsvthe electricity in the whole room, this is a big issue! Swimming pool was not clean, area around the swimming pool was not clean either! It is a proper disappointment and expensive for what it is!

Quality of the mattress was poor! Nothing is finished in the room or in the property! The air conditioning did not work the first night; we asked for it to be fixed on the day; they only fixed it the next day! There is no wifi! It is expensive as a four star hotel and clearly it is not a four star! Swimming pool was not clean. Staff was not welcoming and do not speak english! Pictures of the property are misleading, nothing is finished! Reality it is far from what we can see on the website! We would have never booked it if we would have known!

What a nice stay we had and very good hosts. The breakfast was outstanding, with some fresh fruits, omelets, cheese, jams... the room was very nice with a big terrace (we stayed in the main house). Then the pool a bit uphill with a very nice view (no see view but hilltop view but so nice !). The hosts prepared dinner and that was unforgettable.. Don't forget to visit Torre Salsa in the near area! Bovo Marina is the nearest beach, with a few beach bars/restaurants, we went to Montallegro a few times as well. Sciacca was the big surprise and not to be missed. We will definitely return also for a longer stay ! Thanks a lot for all the help you offered !
