Hotel Vado del Duratón

The staff is excellent and very helpful. The hotel is very close to the downtown center. Be sure to check dates when most facilities in town are open. We arrived a bit before the season started and many restaurants were not open.

Good breakfast made early for us. Good parking. Friendly service. Lovely little town.

The hotel is very clean with lots of seating areas.

The room was very small. There was one long bolster pillow. Breakfast was basic with toast, cold meat cheese, and melon.The air conditioning was very noisy and inefficient. It is not,, in my opinion, a 4* hotel. Expensive too.

Location, location, location. Sepulveda is truly fantastic. We did the Dos Rios walk, and visited the Ermita Dos Frutos. Explanation and willingness to help were very good. Free parking.

No bread for breakfast, don't know what we did wrong.

This rural hotel is so unique! Nestled in the heart of Sepúlveda, we loved the peacefulness of the rooms and areas within the hotel and town. There are little lounge areas both inside and terraces outside and even an area for young kids with toys, games and books. Everything was super clean and the breakfast was delicious!

we’ve stayed here before and it’s a perfect location en route south or north to the ports of Santander and Bilbao. The satnav took us on a very awkward route so anyone wanting to stay here should stick to the main road and not be tempted by driving down a narrow alley ending at the Plaza Mayor.

The bathroom is very poor design and can only accommodate one person at a time. Our room was rather dark but beds very comfortable.

The older woman at the desk when we arrived was rude. She would only speak to my son (who spoke very little Spanish) and refused to even look at me (his mom), who spoke Spanish. I thought this kind of attitude was gone but apparently not in small towns in Spain. The hotel was lovely, comfortable, affordable.

Hotel very cramped, limited parking, old lady in reception/breakfast very miserable and no time for British. Paid by card on arrival were then chased Nd asked to pay again because the old lady had not recorded the payment. She was very abrupt.

Spotlessly clean and in a great location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had to leave early so they served our breakfast 30 minutes before the normal time. Exceptional service!

Bit noisy from the cars going over the cobbled street outside. But nothing too bad.Note that the car park is 100m past the hotel on the left.

A bit difficult to find

It was difficult to find but in a charming location in this attractive little town. The receptionist and staff were very pleasant.

Our room was rather small and in the bathroom the shower screen when opened to get out of the shower/bath hit the wash hand basin. A better designed basin would have been very easy to fit in, removing the silly circular basin. Breakfast was very basic with no yogurt or fruit and, because of the COVID-19 situation, we had to be served at table and therefore didn’t have the opportunity to even see what was on offer.

It was hard to find. For once, Google maps let us down!
